I'll admit that I don't post much and would prefer to just read what some of our more intelligent posters have to say from time to time.

But this SWAG mantra really seems to be making us look ridiculous right now. I wish it would just go away.

This is not about New Army vs Old Army either...I don't give a crap what age you are. We are all family at the end of the day and although I am older, I get why it was cool at one point.

I just feel that this whole swag thing is turning into a huge embarrassment for the program.

Then played lazy against 3 pansies. SWAG took a back seat.

Went to Starkville with "little swag" and got punched in the mouth. No big SWAG since.

Vomiting on Northgate has not helped.

As John Wooden said, athletics don't build character, they reveal it. We got some Nancy boys who thought they were studs and are now finding out "not so much".

Swag is only ridiculous if you're losing, for example, DJ Swearinger.

Well we're getting our ass handed to us right now.

So back after the SC win I was trying to explain to my wife (also an Ag) what the whole #WRTS thing meant.

She didn't like it.

I told her it was all about building the atmosphere, the top recruits are feeding on this, they love it. It gets everyone hyped up. It shows we've got some swagger.

My wife wasn't buying it. She said it arrogant and obnoxious and would blow up in our face. I told her nah, we got this, enjoy the ride.

I'd prefer our coaches and team have swagger and high expectations that aren't met than them go through every season being okay with mediocrity.

IMO what's embarrassing is having 10,000 anti Aggie football posts made on the A&M Football board of Texags the first time in 3 years we really have adversity and go through a rough patch.

I have discovered that Poor management will kill SWAG every time.
That's why I am the SWAGOBSERVER!

SWAG = WRECKING CREW

Only works when you are living it. Otherwise it is empty in meaning.

Swag is earned when you win a division title , conference title, Natty. We have none of these in the SEC. Lets stop with the swag talk and get to work !!!

Kinda like how the title "America's Team" works sometimes & sometimes not.

You can have swagger( I hate the word swag) but you don't have to advertise it the way our team has.
Then it becomes cockiness and arrogance.
I really believe there were players on our team that actually thought we would win the national title based solely on the South Carolina game.
We have an immature, cocky, no work ethic, and no leadership team.. You read their own press clippings and listened to their fat little girlfriends . If we didn't we wouldn't be in this situation.
It's bad the way our players advertised the swag and all that. When you're good you don't have to tell people you're good.

The jury certainly isn't out on you being an ahole. We know that for sure.

Swagless with Sumlin. I like it. Kind of has a ring to it-reminds me of the movie Sleepless in Seattle.

I don't think the problem is SWAG itself, but rather a question of if all of that rock star treatment has been properly earned. In my opinion, this team was "anointed" (so to speak) after just one game. And as a result, we started getting the rock star treatment without having done anything to earn it. It turns out that USCe really wasn't that good and as a result, all if the SWAG just looks a little hollow now. The focus was too much on the celebration and reward, instead of focusing on what kind of effort is required to be good.

Adversity builds character. But if you are always told that you are the greatest thing in the world, it can be a shock to the system when you find out the world is really a challenging place. I don't think our team was mentally prepared to deal with the reality that we are a great and talented bunch, but we have to work our butts off to stay competitive.

Swag is just fine as long as you have coaches that are on your ass at every practice. Swag can turn you into someone who thinks you just need to show up on game days and jack around in practice. That's what our team looked like against MSST and Ole Miss. Then it turned to apathy. If you have a ton of confidence and it is properly motivated every week, it can be a very useful attitude.

swag: when you can back up your talk with the walk. Our team can't even crawl right now.

Can we call our offense the Swagging Crew? And not call it that when our O sucks and lament for it?

Agreed, but that's the least of Sumlin's problems. Looking like a crappy football program has me more concerned. If I were a recruit I'd need to see more than a damn helicopter!

Media said this week that the legion of boom had a lot of swag. We should sick our lawyers on them since we own the rights to swag and all.

If I were a recruit I'd want to see coach spinning plates while riding a unicycle on top of the rotors of the helicopter
