Those people consume 10 times the alcohol prior to the game. That is the difference. My very first experience with an lsu fan was a 75 year old man throwing a jack daniels bottle at me.

It is like the OP said, Kyle just isn't intimidating. The ags have an uncanny ability to suck the life out of the home crowd.

New Army doesn't understand when I say that the '91 squad may have been the best team in the modern era. But that's how they played defense. And that's how our fans reacted to it. In the Cotton Bowl we turned it over 8 times and allowed 10 points.

Patrick Bates, Kevin Smith, Quentin Coryatt, Marcus Buckley. Probably more. Those guys were filthy in any era.

K Smith is one of the more underrated DBs in past 20 years in NFL. Guy was awesome.

BMX, I'm pretty sure that actually WAS an NFL defense. They would have held their own in a fantasy league.

The ags had back to back, Kevin Smith and Aaron Glenn, at lockdown corner. I saw each of them in person for 2 years. Both were enormous talents. If I had to pick, I'd say that Glenn was better at closing on the ball in flight, but Smith had a better knack for the big play. They were both so good that sometimes I would watch them instead of the QB.

There is nothing like Tiger stadium at night. Unfortunately we will never have an atmosphere like that.

I don't want to emulate LSU in any way. Kyle Field with a defense and A&M traditions are good enough for me. The whole LSU chant of suck my tiger d-ck and throwing bottles just reminds me of a larger SEC version of Tech.

A 10-7 defensive slug fest. I loved it. I can't wait until they play Bama.

I completely agree with the OP. My wife is an LSU alum and I have been to many games in BR. There is an attitude that eminates from the players, the fans, the alumni, etc and comes out during games that is intimidating to the other team and results in home field advantage and makes night games second to none.

but it is also the same attitude that embarrasses my wife that I don't think anyone in aggieland wants to be known for. It is a double-edged sword.

i don't think we have to be just like LSU, but we need something that the everyone can rally behind. We had it with JFF but not much else since the Wrecking crew died. Where are the leaders on this team? No one is stepping up and laying it all on the line.

there are a lot of teams out there having success with much less talent, our issues are with leadership on the field. We can have success with the coaches and players we have, but the players have to step up and execute and if not, someone on the team needs to get in their teammates face and call them out.

This. There were 2 or 3 times when we got really loud. The first possession and when ole miss got the ball back after our first TD. 3 and out both times. Then the team killed all of our hope and noise

Oh to be young and stupid. I remember it well!

Death Valley wasn't very loud back in the 90's when they were consistently losing and had a coaching carousel going on. Some of you sprouts don't realize that had an Aggie for their coach for a while. The fans were just as drunk but not near as loud.

Back in the wrecking crew days and some in the early nineties Kyle rocked. Sometimes it levitated. Ask Andre Ware about that. Ask the LSU teams that we demolished at home.

Anyone there for some of those games will tell you the same.

The crowd feeds off the team. Specifically the defense. So don't you young dumba$$es be blaming it on old army. Blame it on the long line of sheety coaches starting with RC, then Fran and fat boy 1 and now fatboy 2 who let it all slip away.

Fans that don't leave at the start of the 4th quarter because "oh Lawd I have to drive a couple of hours to get home and there's no reason to stick around": we need them.

Aggies have become fickle and pathetic when we are backed into a corner. Grow a pair and yell at the game or give your ticket to someone who is actually going to make noise and not bail early.

That's weird because the "olds" had an intimidating Kyle in the 80s when students made the place deafening. Also, the "olds" know that it's "our" not "are".
