An extremely astute observer of A&M football told me a year ago to keep an eye on the progress or lack of of the offensive line as the players get further and further away from the Sherman/Jim Turner tutelage, two men who are passionate and technically sound regarding the line. The current (and veteran) offensive line, thought to be the team's biggest strength entering the season, is one of its biggest weaknesses. Why is that?

It's evident A&M's lack of discipline off the field around 20 arrests in the past 20 months or so carries over to on the field, and that's squarely on Sumlin. He's reiterated the program is taking steps to remedy the discipline issues, and a good gauge of that will be the next nine months (leading to 2015 training camp).

Part of that I put on a partially (and very vocal via the message boards) star-struck fan base that's engaged in some idolatry regarding Sumlin the past two years that's sickening.

Is he actually blaming Texags...did he really just bl;ame a message board for Sumlin not producing results on the field?
quote:No. He is just blaming Texags for being a bunch of Sumlin jock sniffers who contributed to his over-popularity.quote:

1. We lost to number 1,3&4 teams in the country. Two on the road. I would venture to guess every team in the Big 12 would have lost those games as well.

This is so spot on it is ridiculous.Way too many Aggies were so enthralled with the on-field excitement of Sumlin and Manziel in 2012 and parts of 2013, we should our souls to the devil in terms of tossing long held Aggie beliefs. Arrest after arrest...Manziel's eligiblity question after the autograph debacle. The Honor code does not say we don't tolerate those who Lie Cheat, or Steal provided they are not guilty "technically" though we all know the truth. It does not say, if the rule/law is in question, it is ok to behave

It does not say, if the rule/law is in question, it is ok to behave in violation of it. It certainly does not allow for 20 arrests in a short span of time. Get us some good old fashion discipline and if the 5 stars get turned off, to hell with them. This team is selfish and quitters. We need to re-think this whole process of AgSwag, #WRTS, etc. etc.
