That the apologists used the last couple of weeks to excuse poor performance?

They said, no no, it's not coaching we just don't have the guys.

Can we agree now that Alabama's guys aren't 59 points better than the guys we have? It's a coaching problem.

Teams we play that have athletes on defense will beat us every time. RC showed them how to do it in 89 vs. U of H. The Air Raid/Run n Shoot won't win championships. We need some guys that can run block, a bruiser back and a good D. Then we will be able to throw the ball. Right now, the other teams are just making sure they stop our passing game with pressure and our o-line, which should be able to pass block, looks horrible. We may be able to beat ULM, but that's about it.

Hhmm. Think Bielema is running an air raid/run n shoot?

I don't either. He is winless in the SEC over the last season and a half.

The air raid and the run and shoot aren't the same. At all. Modern rules will keep facilitating spread offenses. There's a reason even Saban is moving to one.

Its a question of how tough and how hard the jimmy and joes play... see the last years of Mack Browns teams, soft & uninspiring despite having nothing but 4 & 5 stars
