68000 tickets sold.

Kyle Field seats 106,000; Razorback Stadium seats 76000. Same TV revenue regardless where the game is played.

The SEC needs to help us and Arky get out of this contract somehow.

Arkansas doesn't want out of that contract.

They want that game in Dallas yearly.

Razorback fans were the no shows. Ags more than did their part. If the Hogs start winning again, there will be 80k sold for the (****ty) Jerry World games.

You can thank loftin for going to renew that without any input from Bill Byrne

If you goto the game at cowboys stadium.. You can't argue it should be played on campus.
You're the reason nothing will change.
People atop showing up I don't care If there are 100 years left on the contract.. It will change to a home - home where it belongs.

I was at the game; I know who was sitting where.

I talked to some Arky people in my hotel after the game and this AM before I left. There was some good natured smack talk, even though Arky was more pissy than I was since they lost. Anyway, the topic of continuing to play in North Texas came up and out of the people I talked to, not a one of them wants to continue playing in Arlington. Of all the Aggies that I know of none of them want to continue to play the game at Jerryworld either.

There needs to be a way to get out of this contract; all we are doing is putting money in that jerks pocket.

As always money talks. I'm with op on the math through. With the seating capacities of both stadiums it seems like more revenue would be made home and home? I guess the Jerryworld game is yearly revenue instead of every other year? I admit I don't understand where all the dollars come from for this game.

Arkansas fans must be poor. All their 300 level club seats were empty. Pathetic showing by Arkansas fans.

I went the first year. Never again. I'm not paying rip off prices to Boss Hog for tickets, parking, concessions, etc. If you take a family of 4 you will drop a grand easily.
Just say no to Boss Hog and bring the game back to campus. A&M recruits very, very well without the help of Jerryworld.

Boycott Jerry World and don't go next year.

I agree with all of you on here. Overpriced. Crappy place to play. However the dollars unfortunately add up and will keep us there until the contract is over. Even at 68,000 tickets, Forbes listed the average ticket price at just over 230.00. At 68k ticket sales, that's north of 15 million. No concessions, no parking fees... Just ticket sales. I've seen that we get 5 million a year to play there. It sucks, but we will see it through... Then most likely negotiate for more $$$ and keep coming in the future...

I thought that Playing Arkansas in Dallas was part of the Negotiation for Arkansas to let us play LSU on Thanksgiving Weekend.

Arkansas loves playing this game in Dallas. It is the location of one of their largest alumni groups in the country. They use this during recruiting as a place to play back 'home' for their Texas recruits. The Aggies don't need this game in Dallas. The Hogs want this game. Jerry controls it, sadly enough.

I was there and can tell you that Jerry made sure this felt like an Arky home game and yet many hogs fan no shows

Wouldn't be surprising. LSU on thanksgiving is a measuring contest with tu and we know our admins who are alums love to get into that sort of thing. Playing LSU on thanks giving is unnecessary. It would be traditional and just as huge to play them on Labor Day weekend to open the season.

This is correct based on everything I've heard. Arkansas wants the game in Dallas for recruiting purposes, and we gave it to them in exchange for giving up their annual Thanksgiving weekend game against LSU. I hate Jerryworld and the high prices, but it was worth giving up five home games over ten years to get a high profile season finale each year.

If this arrangement is valued solely on the merits of $5MM per annum to Texas A&M at the expense of loyal Aggies getting jacked for tickets, concessions, and parking it is 100% not worth it. If it is a concession in exchange for getting an annual matchup versus LSU near Thanksgiving, it is worth it, provided that the Arky series switches to home-and-home at the end of the current 10-year contract. This latter point is worthy of continuous lobbying effort. Jerruh knows it's easier to screw 60,000 if you grease the pockets of a few key people.

LSU near Thanksgiving is going to be priceless. Good opponent, plus we get to see the competitive TV ratings of our game versus . . . other college games being played in the state.

Have always wondered if Arkansas wants JerryWorld because Jerry donates his fee back to Arkansas for their portion of the costs....

I love this game. Controlled climate, suites, good food, easy to bring the kids. Arky's side was empty. And I could care less. It cost money. But some good ags don't mind selling their tickets for two or three times what they paid on the secondary market. So it seems like Jerry wasn't the only one making money.
