Why can't they just put it on the field and use a reduced charge?

I know that ACW re-enactors use about a 50% reduced black powder charge for safety purposes and those old 12 pounder smoothbores produce plenty of noise and smoke.

It's definitely not photoshop. They're testing it right now with the Kanye West "Power" song that the team runs out to. They've already fired like 7 rounds in the past 10 minutes. If they don't go through with it they at least tried to put it back.

That might be the ticket right there. Gets it out of the way of foot traffic, and gets the cannon further away from the fans and the field. Good thinking.

definitely progress if true. If they decide it can be up on the tower, the next question is how do you get it up and down from there? Or does it become a permanent addition to Kyle Field?

Why suspend it from a crane? The Swaggercopter can just hover overhead with it.
