Class of '95 here and the only thing I read that bothers me about new Sbisa is the small tables. How do the dorms eat together? I would guess without Bonfire and old Sbisa, the dorms probably don't have much unity. That's sad.

Sbisa Yell was the best. Though, better food isn't a bad thing....I'm pretty sure I am still gastrointestinally damaged 20+ years later.

I miss family style dinners at Sbisa. Big bowls of corn, beans, mystery meat. Sitting at straight tables next to people you've never met.
Sbisa served it up good in early 80s. Main course followed up with burgers and ice cream.

I actually lost weight my freshman year despite eating whatever the hell I wanted at SBISA. I finally figured out it was the corn. You can't eat corn with every meal ...it's a natural laxative. It took me forever to figure it out. I still pass on the corn to this day.

Ahh, brings back memories. You know, Sbisa had some of the thickest mashed potatoes I've ever had. Real stick to your ribs stuff. We used to fuse two bowls together with it.

Are you still able to push back the soft serve ice cream machine so the girls had to lean over to get some? That was the best as the machine was right by the McPennis table.

My grandfather was a food server at Sbisa in the 1930's. I actually have one of the pewter plates with AMC engraved on it

Man I almost forgot about that. Good times all around, I feel sorry for new army missing out on what Sbisa was, and generally what campus life was like that doesn't seem to exist anymore.
