Will be driving up from CS and back right after the game.
I would appreciate any parking area suggestions, and also any
places to eat and watch some football prior to the game.

thanks.

If you're parking at Mockingbird Station, be sure to go in somewhere and offer patronage. They don't like people just parking and walking to SMU games. That being said, it's probably the simplest option.

Places in Mockingbird Station that have at least one TV:

Twin Peaks
Trinity Hall
Rockfish
Urban Taco

Of those places, Trinity Hall is my favorite for drinking and socializing, but it's not the best for watching games. They have a projector that usually shows soccer. You could probably convince the staff to put on a football game, but they're still only going to have the one screen.

On the other end of the spectrum, it's basically a glorified Hooters, but Twin Peaks will have plenty of screens.

Trinity Hall sucks and is boring. Don't go there.

Twin Peaks
Nodding Donkey
Barley House

Trinity Hall is a prototypical example of a classic Irish Pub. If you don't like it, you probably just don't like Irish pubs. They provide great food, great beer options, and a cozy pub atmosphere. They're not in the entertainment business. It sounds like you've got misguided expectations, but Trinity Hall most definitely does not suck.

Well I was in Dublin last weekend and in Ireland for 10 days.
I like Irish pubs and Guinness is my favorite beer...so I will probably like
it at Trinity. Iooked at the tv schedule of games in the 11 a.m. and noon time frames
and nothing really of much interest. Too bad Bama vs. UF is also in the 230 pm slot.

We'll be at Trinity Hall! It worked 2 years ago. BTW - great Irish breakfast is served there to enjoy with your Guiness.

Makes me miss Ireland.

Don't disagree, but Trinity Hall does suck as a suggestion considering what the OP is looking for.
