Aggieland is only getting better with time. I love the new construction to improve everything about our campus and its facilities.

Also, that John M. Smith was obviously a real badass in Aggieland. He is in the Hall of Fame at Kyle for just every possible sport!

It's funny how the Construction Science facility is the lowest profile construction project.

Everything looks awesome, though. I'd be interested in odds on each of those projects happening, especially the privately funded ones.

Worm, all of the private projects are under way or completed. The scope may change from what I've linked, but dirt is moving on three of the them and the Northpoint Crossing at University & Texas is nearly ready to open.

The Corps marches to chow only "two times per day?" NEW ARMY!

Also, the depiction did not show spaces for "groad holes" in the quad area. Too much concrete.

Thanks for all of the info. BC/S is projected to hit 250,000 in a short time ( not counting students). Only concern is the ability to keep up with the roads and bridges needed. So far there has been a pretty good attempt made to keep up but I am afraid that lack of good RR crossings will still continue to seriously hurt growth westward. Look at Rock Prairie crossing as an example of a development killing disaster .

You know what is getting straight up neglected? Student transportation. Directly from Transportation Services email:

Yeah it took forever. They've fixed it up very well though.

Oh, and fish pond is now on the lawn at Sbisa (moved across the street) and that whole gated intersection is now redone.

Plus a vehicular and pedestrian tunnel to west campus is now open at the bell tower.

I saw them doing construction by the bell tower last year when I went to the Auburn game, I guess that's what they were doing. That would have been nice to have back then. Wouldn't have gotten stuck waiting for all those trains.

Not necessarily for TS, though. With the new consolidated student fees the University can hold funding for TS flat and spend the money elsewhere.

OP, a few things I didn't see mentioned in your posts are the Williams, Scoates, and Francis (mentioned in a reply) capital improvements, the Commons renovation, the Clinical Research Facility next to PEAP, the Architecture Ranch expansion on Riverside, and the Coke/Lamar/Throckmorton plaza redevelopment. Otherwise, a very thorough and detailed list.

I did mention the commons reno, but there's not much info publicly available...I saw two different price estimates so I assumed it's still in flux. I should probably have included the proposed underpass at George Bush & Wellborn, the new underpass at Old Main & Wellborn...

But truthfully, I'm on vacation and was just killing time driving to the beach. Only way I had time to put it all together.

Question:

The renderings of Kyle Field have usually shown Parking Garages in the lot between Kyle and Welborn Rd. Are those part of the approved project, or approved as a separate project? Are they only shown for "Future" possibilities, or are they likely to happen?

Parking is something that needs to be addressed, but I don't see those garages getting used all that much other than Gameday.
