Nice group of people on this thread.

OP, tell your kids thank you for their support. Tell them to walk up to people in uniform or vet hats and to shake their hand, look them in the eye, and say thank you for your service. It is appreciated regardless if they call them Soldiers and they wear a Navy uniform.

Someone mentioned sites to send care packages and the like. It was great getting a care package while deployed. The best part was the Christmas card from a random child. I hung that thing up and it brought me joy every time I saw it.

Yes, today is Memorial Day. Remember those who died, the families left behind, and pray to end wars. But your kids are right in wanting to thank those who served. Tell them it is appreciated and their dad is raising them right.

The idiocy continues.

Maybe, just maybe... Memorial Day sparked conversation with kids, then kids thought, we should be good to veterans that are here, dad gets on texags.

This isn't a war on Memorial Day, relax texags army.

And blue star for you. Yes, you know what Memorial Day is... Good for you. You are valuable.
