A decade ago I was a staunch advocate for having "TEXAS AGGIES" in the endzone. But I've flipped. If going to the SEC has shown me one thing, it's how unfamiliar people outsider of Texas were with the A&M brand. We've come a long way, but on a national level, we still need to drive how that we are Texas A&M.
I love the Texas Aggies moniker, and there are tons of opportunities to use that on apparel, in-stadium signage, etc. But the endzones are one of the most visible symbols of your school that a TV audience sees every Saturday. It would be a wasted opportunity to put something there that could create brand confusion.
