No, they didn't wear the helmets. That's for sure. These are maroon "razorwire, whatever that is", not A&M's usual maroon or black.

The Onyx is up for debate. EA already has the "black" uniforms in the game. This one is called Onyx...it looks dark to me, but not quite black.

GROSS! Our colors do not involve black. Traditional maroon and white please. Alabama is a good example to follow. Best program in the country, and they have kept their simple, elegant, traditional look.

When you are on the verge of winning 4 of the last 5 NCs you are allowed to not worry about impressing the recruits with uniform options. For all the rest of te programs in the country, we need to do whatever it takes.

Recruits also dig playing the SEC. You notice that SEC teams have not gone to outlandish unis. SEC is all about tradition and winning not gimmicks.

LSU, Mizzou, Scar, Miss St. have all had "crazy" uniforms the last few seasons.

None of our uniforms have been outlandish. We aren't Oregon and plenty of SEC teams have wore alt uniforms.

What exactly are the "traditional" unis for us? A&M uniforms seem like they changed every 5 years or so, or at least w every coach. Moreover, in regards to uni colors, we're behind some schools like Michigan/Notre I Dame etc, in that they have two designated colors PLUS the standard white everyone uses in their unis ie Blue & Maize plus standard white. When you designate white as one of your official colors, you really only have one color compared to those teams. I've always thought UGA had a great thing going with Red/Black/Gray/White all incorporated in their color scheme. Historically, A&M has used gray enough that I think we should use it as part of our standard uni design/color

Bama/Florida/LSU/Tennessee/UGA/ND have ALL used alternate unis. Why some posters think we're supposed to be above it if those schools aren't is strange

- Seriously? Have you seen Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Vandy, Mizzou, or Georgia play in the last 5 years? All of those teams have had a non-throwback uniform. Georgia and Boise let Nike go nuts for the kickoff classic a few years ago. Arkansas has the terrible black fade on the helmet, Tennessee had the horrible gray jersey (probably to reason we haven't worn ours). This is the way to get kids excited and to get them talking. It is the day and age of football we live in. The only reason the NFL doesn't do it is because of a helmet rule or they would have Oregon style unis every week.

They're only going to look remotely good if we win.
