Did ESPN Talkers Know Of Elis DUI and Keep Quiet ?

A few days ago ESPN ran their 30 ON 30 about the Mannings in which they commented at length about Eli's "public drunkenness" AND "disorderly conduct " at Ole Miss ( not DUI as in title ). MK BQ89 posted copy of an Oxford AP article which said it was for " public intoxication " and " disorderly " at a frat party no less. He was contrite and let his father know what had happened.

This after weeks of almost all of ESPN talkers comparing Johnny to the Mannings and portraying them as above reproach and Johnny as something else.

How could these talkers not have known about Eli's problem while they were criticizing Johnny when their own employer was preparing their show on the Mannings ?

Did ESPN let these guys go on and on about Johnny at the Mannings camp without telling them about Eli's DUI ? Or did ESPN let them know but requested them to let this go until the show aired ?

This is brought up now because of our game at Ole Miss Saturday and because comments will be made probably about Johnny and his "antics " !

Possibly, someone can post excerpts from 30 ON 30 about this ?

I find this somewhat interesting. But we are midseason now and JFF makes news by his play on the field.

Eli Manning was charged with public intoxication his freshman year at Ole Miss, not a DUI.

uhh...Big Jim! The show isn't live. It's produced way before it's ever aired.

if you're six years old you get a pass....otherwise, Common man!

Peyton also came out after the camp incident with Manziel and made comments about remembering Eli having some fun as a freshman at Ole Miss and that it's no big deal.

delete thread, send user to the plank.

Here is a link to the story about Eli being charged with "public drunkeness," not a DUI or any other criminal act.

Cat - then why did ESPN let their talkers go on about Johnny at the Mannings over several months without telling them about Eli's " public Intoxication " ? In addition, disorderly conduct ! ( thanks MK BQ ! )

So a college kid who also happens to play football got too drunk one night? Get your pitchforks guys, we got a lynch mob to start.

Johnny's only mistake was that night he was drinking with Cooper. The Manning's are serious drinkers. They couldn't care less about what happened.

They are from New Orleans guys.
Eli has had multiple "issues"

Because the story of a freshman breaking SEC records and winning the Heisman is a good one. But tearing him down and reporting on his "crash" is a GREAT story, according to ESPN.

And the story of a the once troubled freshman Qb that turned it around his Sophmore year and matured to win the first NCAA playoff his Junior year and becomre the best college football player ever before entering the NFL. Is the GREATEST story ever told!!! Look for Johnny's finale to the trilogy next season...

This isn't really an ESPN problem. It's more of a YOU problem.
