Pellini is the biggest meathead in college football.

For the average person, this is a profanity-laden rant. For a knuckle-dragger like Pellini, this is something close to iambic pentameter. I didn't even know he had a vocabulary this expansive. He mostly expresses himself in grunts and primal screams.

I remember when he said, "Our fans are better than Aggie fans."

Stick a fork in ol' Bo, unless he manages to go undefeated from here on (and that might not even be enough for NU).

I'm surprised that Pelini hasn't burst into flames via spontaneous combustion.

Knowing the volatility of the Pelini brothers, TexAgs should have hired armed security for that 2010 game, or just had the College Station Fire Department hose those guys down.

He is Nostradamus. After this recording I'll almost guarantee that the day is coming that he is gone. This guy is a piece of work.

I am as loyal of a Husker and Aggie fan as there is. Both schools have a lot of my money.

I have been a Husker fan for 45 years. Husker fans expect nothing more than excellence of execution. Husker fans are humble, but don't like to be embarrassed, either by conduct on or off the field or by poor on field performance.

Bo Pelini is a deeply flawed man. He is volatile and profane. He lashes out when things don't go his way. Many times, it is not personal -- he sort of like a mad rhinoceros making a charge, and then quickly forgets why he charged and starts grazing again. But you cannot lash out that personally, that profanely and not expect it to hurt you sooner or later.

There is an old saying that character is what you do when no one is looking. Well, this is a very unpleasant reflection of a deeply flawed character, who thought no one was looking when he revealed this about himself.

His on-field performance never matched his lofty opinion of his own coaching abilities. He lashed out in the most unpleasant way imaginable at the very people who have sold out every single game since 1962. He has brought disrepute to fine people, a fine university and an iconic footbal program.

Is this reparable? Maybe, but Bo would have to humble himself so incredibly and connect with the fans and the university administration in a way that he is likely not capable of. He can't merely "own up" to it -- he has to "own it", acknowledge it, embrace it, talk about it, and, yes, get roundly criticized for it and maybe even insulted over it. With charm and grace, which are not exactly his strong suit.

Can I forgive him? I am not so sure.

He's officially off his rocker. The repetition of going 9-3 against terrible teams with a defense that gives up over 600 yards on average finally got him to snap. He never seemed liked a player coach at all. One thing is for sure, if I were a high school recruit he would be the LAST guy I would want to play for.
