There are some competitively priced tickets on Craigslist and before I throw a two benjamins on tickets, was curious if the zoo has seen or heard of any ticket scams?

You could definitely get burned. If he has converted them to flashseats already, the paper ones you're about to purchase are worth nothing.

He may be able to print on cardstock and sel counterfeit tickets to an uninformed buyer.

There are any number of ways those tickets may be fake.

I'd look on FlashSeats, as those are guaranteed by the university, and no cashmoney changes hands.

Not sure about this but if its a student ticket, there may be a chance it's been voided due to resale for a profit. I know they did this with sports passes, not sure if its possible it happens with tickets. Also, some students post pictures of their tickets on Facebook, and if the barcode is showing, forgeries can be made. Just be cautious.

There was another guy on ticket exchange forum saying he got burned on Craigslist.

just have them meet you in a public place....shouldn't have to worry about gettin mugged

If you do meet in person, I would check their validity on flashseats in front of the guy before paying. You can check if the barcode is legit and if it has been already converted.
