Do you have proof that he lied?

The governing body of college sports just cleared him. They said he did not get paid and the obscure rule he broke was done so inadvertently.

You can suppose and probably all you want but that is not how the honor code works you jackass.

You do not break the code simply because you were accused of breaking the code. It has to be proven that you actually did it.

Again, proof mother****er. Either present it or STFU.

Lit has no proof or facts at his disposal. He's a mouthbreathing simpleton who caught part of the news story and immediately thought: "Johnny do bad, Sharp bad, I ride moral high horse on internet make me feel happy."

His statement included this caveat:

"We all take the Aggie Code of Honor very seriously and there is no evidence that either the university or Johnny violated that code.”

This is legit. If there isn't evidence, I can't fault the man for wanting to believe someone when they flat out say they didn't do it.

If this is what upsets you:

“I am proud of the way both Coach Sumlin and Johnny handled this situation, with integrity and honesty"

This could have been reworded I agree. Think his intent was to counter all the negative conclusions people have already drawn without facts. But I do see how the word "proud" can cause a little heartburn when nobody really knows for sure what happened.

You sir are a coward for jumping ship on two fellow aggies without knowing any facts, because of a baseless suggestion that that aggie honor code has been violated ......not to mention very naive to think the story is as simple as what you saw on TV. Do you have any reason to believe that JFF lied? Or do you just automatically believe people are lying because perhaps you have that habit your self. I heard your S.O. got with 10 dudes last week. Call her a liar when she denies it and then ask her if she sees you as honorable. He could have lied. In which case he did violate the honor code. But please, do us all a favor and keep your insecurities to your self until you have proof of that.

Good night people - the whole thing about "Aggies do not lie cheat or steal" is not true in the literal sense, but that's not the point. Clearly there are Aggies who have lied, cheated or stolen, and there will be more in the future. So what? The point is that Aggies not SUPPOSED to do those things and we strive not to. Obviously, no one ELSE should either, but the imperative is supposed to be stronger with Aggies. THAT is what we are proud of.

Thought this would come in handy for a couple of you:

As for me, I believe the results of the NCAA investigator over some reporter with questionable history and sources that are even more questionable/dubious.

Aggie Lit: if someone tells your prof that they saw you cheating, and they can present 0 evidence, do you think you should be given a 0 and brought before the honor council?
