Maybe it was the ESPN reporter that brought the Aggie Honor code into it, but it genuinely makes me disappointed bc I have seen many posts using the light suspension as justification that the Aggie Honor Code is dying.

While I genuinely wouldn't care, it is depressing bc not everyone will get to experience Aggieland to see that the Aggie Honor Code and Aggie spirit is alive in well.

Only a tu pus$ would ever bring up the Aggie Honor code....they act like they don't care and aren't worried with the current state of college football in the lone star state...but they are terrified.

The Aggie Code is the red herring here. Bayless started it on First Take yesterday morning, and then every ESPN on-air pee-on parroted it, without even having a clue what it said or meant. ("Honor" isn't in the dictionary they use in Bristol's studios.)

Unless it changed since I was in school, the Aggie Code didn't require jumping to conclusions and convicting someone on flimsy evidence and suspicions.

Rod - My problem is with the chancellor. Johnny can lie and get away with it, that's fine. But the highest ranking member of our university just held him up as an exemplar of the Aggie Code of Honor. As an Aggie, I find that deeply embarrassing.

It's been said before, but if Johnny didn't do it, there's absolutely no reason he and his lawyers wouldn't have come out and denied it immediately. Ergo, he did it. Sorry folks, we all know it. Some of you need to grow a pair and stop arguing like first year law students at Texas Wesleyan. Just because someone is entitled to exercise a legal right against self-incrimination doesn't mean we should conclude they acted morally. And yes, it's dishonorable not to tell the truth. Fine to discuss the wisdom of the NCAA's rule, but to deny the underlying facts is underhanded.

Last I heard Johnny answered questions for six hours. Why are you slandering him and saying he took five?
