I don't know why they aren't working faster on the field. Seems very lax. After last year's fiasco after just a little rain, I want to see grass and make sure it has more than enough time to take hold and be ready.

It does seem like they're dragging on but then again they're using the grass provider from the mid-season replacement, which includes soil and grass ready to play on so the turn around time shouldn't be an issue.

Just a little rain?!? Wasn't it like seven inches?
Although I will grant you that the field was pretty crappy in the games before that rain.

Carolina Green, which I suppose is much preferable to something like Colorado Green.

As far as not putting the sod down yet, they seem to be taking their time getting all the proper drainage and irrigation installed. I think this would go a long way towards preventing a situation like last year if there is another monsoon.

Yes and it should have 4-6 weeks to get established before Ball State. Not bad considering how it did last year in a week or so.
