Look at that all exposed steel! Oh wait.















I just keep imagining a pond with a fountain back behind this beautiful ring plaza, the lights of the stadium reflecting across. It would be an iconic feature for campus. Needs to happen.

























It's just crazy how much of a presence the new stadium has when you drive around. Like a mountain it just dominates the horizon when you round a corner and have a sight line.



Panorama that sort of messed up...


For those that want to complain about the indoor facilities facade, have at it.

The new vet school is well under way (and this is only about half, the other building is larger!)

Nikon D80 with a standard f/1.4 50mm. I'd have to lookup the settings. Shot freehand so could be better.

Those were already there last year. I suppose they're there to provide lighting for the people sitting directly under the canopy.

In viewing the construction cam, I noticed two things about the seat installation on the west lower deck. First, it appears that, so far, the seats are being installed on every other row. Second, it appears that it has been several days since any seats are installed.

I'm certain that there's a perfectly good explanation for both, so I'm curious if any of you construction types have any insight.

Loco the engineer's answer: I would bet that it is a pain in the azz to install those seats, even more of a pain when the rows immediately below and above are installed already, so if you install every other row first, you can do half the rows without the added pain.

Loco the TexAgs user's answer: That's not every other row, that's just the new leg room in new Kyle.

Two, did they install a tuned-mass damper in the new press box to keep it from swaying during the "Aggie War Hymn"? Or has that been replaced by "Sandstorm"?
