Will a new version of "WELCOME TO AGGIELAND" sign to match the "HOME OF THE 12th MAN" sign on the east side be part of the finishing touches?

I've read that they are touching up the 12th man on the student side in some way or fashion.

I didn't see the welcome to aggieland sign in the renderings, but I'm sure it's included.

I need more pictures, it's been almost a month since scotch has updated his album.

Everyone talks about how ugly the SEZ is, but the NW corner where The Zone and the new west grandstand meet seems like it is going to be a mess. Suppose I'll need to wait to see the finished product, but it looks like they are just going to fill the space in haphazardly.

They did a nice job of filling in the NE corner. Looks like an original part of The Zone and not an afterthought.

Ir will look spectacular despite the pointless bit**ing about it that is sure to gurgle forth in the next few months...in a few years no one will a give ****

You do realize they ended up with obstructed view seats in the zone club in the NE corner, right?

I was in Las Colinas this weekend and drove by the Irving Convention Center. They used perforated steel to create and interesting effect to hide the steel work. Any chance this would work on the SEZ?

Perforated copper actually. Lived in Las Colinas for awhile and drove by it to and from the office. Very cool watching that copper go up.

It's amazing how fast this past is going over the first phase.

It's gonna look great when it's done. The sliced in areas of the west side give it some character and it's really grown on me

It's definitely looking good.

The most recent pics on kylefield.com reminded me what a stark contrast the practice facility is going to represent right next to the new Kyle Field. Has there been any recent discussion about what, if anything, they have planned there? (And nobody better suggest Baylor brick tarp ...)

I think since the practice facilities are on the south end, they don't care.

I hear they're going to power wash them.

SIAP, but is there going to be a concourse or something at the very top of the west stands, under the canopy? On the east, that space is taken up by the press box. Just curious.

At the top of the stands? No, that'll be open air.

The 600 level concourse is the highest it goes.

Image 5 on Scotch's 5/28 album shows it pretty well. At the top of the stringers, there are I-beams that run horizontally back to the cluster columns. I know they are for bracing, but it almost looks like that could be decked out for a concourse / standing area.

I'll be in CS for the baseball regional this weekend and should be able to get a set some time. Anyone have any special picture requests?

Looks like enough room for some kiosk vendors - perhaps a lemon chill.

I do admire the design of Kyle Field. Although it looked like a tackle box, it did a good job of getting more people closer to the field by building up instead of out. It's intimidating, even more so with it being closed in.

The ground work in front of the Zone would be interesting to see, I think they're going to start taking down the retaining wall for the ramp to the underpass in front of he NW activation tower here pretty soon.

Also, a shot or two of Spence Park por favor?

Awesome pics Scotch.

I didn't realize this was part of the plan, it does make sense tho, lets the people headed to the northwest tower or southwest tower to turn south sooner out of the tunnel.
And nice to see my seats have arrived (I wish) The crane on the outside of the stadium has been setting these risers, it would be cool to see them unloaded from Welborn and straight to final placement, but I know that cant happen for safety reasons.

Did anyone ever explain why they're being called "Activation Towers" ???
