I'm a little sad. Some of the best memories of my life are driving down to the A&M game on Saturday. We used to drive 5 hrs there and 5 hrs back in the same day. From junior high through high school, I could trust on about 7 Saturdays of time with just me and my dad. Great great memories.

Is there a web cam set up where one could get a good view of the implosion? And what time Sunday is it to take place?
RC the same site that the construction cams are on will show the implosion at 8 AM on Sunday morning.
The webcams are not real time. I would go to kbtx.com to watch the implosion.

Kinda surreal watching it. I know it's a good thing in the end but it's still crazy.
I believe the elevator tower remained more intact then planned
They just wanted it to come down so they can get at it, not for it to fall apart.
Yeah, it basically went exactly as they described. The elevator tower was supposed to fall like a tree and land just short of Welborn Rd. It looked from one pic that they may have a little clean up on Welborn, but not much.

It looked as though the stands just melted. I was stunned to the center elevator shaft stayed largely intact (Zachry put massive amounts of rebar in it - my uncle was an engineer on the project). Am anxious to see how long it takes to clear the debris.
So why didn't they save the "Welcome to Aggieland" letters from the former student side?? Another sanfu bu the administration??
