Anyone know what is being done to the field?
Looks like sand being spread over the grass.
Topdressing
I already told y'all it was top dressing on the other thread... Does no one ever listen?!? They even talked about it at the presser they had today at 2pm
It's how you paint a new surface for the first time, paint is on the underside and slowly soaks into the grass while being protected from the elements. When they pull it up we should have yard lines and logos.

Also, it appears they started placing the flagpoles on top of the south end zone last night
It's sand that's added to top dress a field. Fills in the cracks and spaces, same as a putting green.
As someone who is not a turf expert, I looked into topdressing. Interesting article:
