Howdy,

Welcome back to campus! There are a few items and dates for you to keep in mind as the semester begins.

Items to Remember:

***IMPORTANT**** Resale of student tickets/sports options for profit is prohibited. Student sports options are heavily subsidized by season ticket holders. Former Students and Aggie fans have long been committed to maintaining the quality and size of the student allotment at Kyle Field. In return, Texas A&M students, the 12th Man, are expected to honor this commitment by not reselling for profit their student tickets. These tickets, home and away, are for student use ONLY. Texas A&M students are prohibited from reselling sports options/student tickets (home or road) for profit. Students found to be in violation of this policy will be penalized. Penalties include the cancellation of sports options, cancellation of tickets already pulled, and the loss of sports option privileges for the duration of their Texas A&M career.

Guest tickets are not offered for every game. No guest tickets will be issued during classification pull for the September 14 game vs. Alabama. Availability of guest tickets will vary by game. Follow @AggieTickets on Twitter for the most current student ticket information.

Walkup tickets are not offered for every game. Availability will vary by game. If no walkup tickets will be offered, there will be a press release issued via AggieAthletics.com indicating that Walkup Pull will not occur.

Admission to Home Football Games: Your current, legible TAMU student ID card and your reserved student ticket need to be presented at the gates of Kyle Field for admission to games. Your Sports Card is not required for admission to football games. No other form of identification is permitted for admission. Students without their current, valid, legible Texas A&M student ID will be required to convert their ticket to a guest ticket for admission.

Group Ticket Pull. Groups (11 or more) are permitted to pull by presenting all sports cards at Zone Window 11 prior to 5pm on Tuesday. Classification does not apply to group pulls. Seating is located on the third deck, beginning with section 329. Group tickets are pulled on a first come, first served basis. NO GUEST TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED TO GROUP PULL. Subject to availability, guest tickets will only be issued to classification pull.

Dates to Remember:

August 19-23: Sports Card Pickup. Students who purchase a sports option receive a sports card that is valid throughout their career at Texas A&M. If this is your first time with a sports option, pick up your sports card at The Zone August 19-23 8am-5pm. If you have lost your sports card, replacements are $10 (billed to your Fee Statement) and can be picked up at The Zone August 19-23 8am-5pm. You must have your valid, legible Texas A&M student ID to pick up your sports card. If you are participating in Road Game Pull, you MUST have your sports card before getting in line. No sports cards will be issued on August 24.

August 24: Road Game Football Pull. Students interested in purchasing road game tickets for their personal use may pull road game tickets August 24 beginning at 8am. Road game tickets will be offered for each of Texas A&M Football’s four road games. Students will be limited to the purchase of four (4) tickets for each game (excluding LSU) per student ID presented. For LSU, a limit of two (2) tickets is in place. A valid football option is required for each ticket pulled. You may use the same sports options for multiple games. Tickets are $75 at Missouri and Ole Miss, $55 at Arkansas, and $100 at LSU. Camping is not permitted until Friday, August 23 at 5pm. If you are participating in Road Game Pull, you MUST have your sports card before getting in line. No sports cards will be issued on August 24.

August 25: Sports Card Pickup.

August 26-29: Classification Pull for Aggie Football vs. Rice. Classification pull opens at 7am and concludes at 5pm each day. Review the rules here. Students are allowed to choose a deck (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or South Endzone) at ticket pull. Seats are then drawn randomly by the ticketing software from remaining inventory on the selected deck. Students with sports options are guaranteed tickets until the conclusion of Freshman Day during a home game pull. Guest tickets are $60 and conversions are $30 for Rice.

August 30: Student Walkup Pull for Aggie Football vs. Rice. Students without sports options (walk-up) may purchase a ticket on Friday at 8am, if available, by presenting their student ID in person at the ticket window. Walk-up tickets, when available, are one-half the face value of that week’s game ticket.

August 31: Aggie Football vs. Rice. Subject to availability, students can continue to pull walkup or student tickets on game day beginning at 9am.

Thanks and Gig ‘em,

So, they'll just be converted to a guest ticket at the gate?

Keep track of which ticket goes to which sports pass. Shouldn't be that hard.

Lol at least 50% of my friends, who have already graduated, have bought sports passes from current students and they will get in with no problem; 100% guaranteed

Probably not enforceable, but a good decision nonetheless.

As long as their student ID is still passable.

Then they'll just walk over and convert it to a guest ticket.

Exactly what the AD wants, because it's extra money for them.

Students should continue to receive subsidized tickets, but they should also sit in the less desirable seats (1st deck end zones, SEC allowable east side 1st deck, etc..).

Now that ticket prices are increasing substantially for most of us, I'm surprised that the east side student block still exists.

Good bull by the foundation. And Rocky, they said repeatedly in the new stadium discussions that they believe the 12th Man to be one of (if not the) biggest attributes of Kyle Field, and that they would always have those prime seats reserved for them.

The students need to realize this fact, and self police this crap. Great to see them starting to get the word out.

As students, if we got a sports pass, we all got the prime seats. I hate paying an arm and a leg for my season tickets...but I am all for A&M students enjoying the same game day environment that I did as a student.

However, I am happy that they have said something about students selling their passes for profit. If I'm going to help pay for their passes, then they better dang well use them.

Great idea, but unrealistic expectation in this day.

I agree that the student section is one of the unique aspects of Kyle Field. I don't want Kyle, Olsen, or Reed to go down the same path as the school from Austin. Boring crowd....

If I thought student attendance would drop below 25K because of less desirable seats, then I'd reconsider my opinion.

NO problem with them re-selling, especially to other students, at face value so they don't have to eat a loss if they can't make it to the game. I'm glad they're discouraging thoughts of profiteering.

Unlike non-students who must have a ticket, students have student ids with barcodes that can easily include whether or not they have football tickets. This problem would be solved by reading bar codes on Student IDs for entry into Kyle Field.

You would still be required to go to pull to get your ticket, and to provide your ticket to get to your proper seat location, but the barcode-accepted ID+ticket would be required to get you in.

Problems with magnetic strips can be handled just like problems with barcoded tickets - - an office on game day available near the gates to verify active student status and football tickets paid.

It won't be popular with students, but guest passes should become market priced too. When it costs more than $1000 for a single ticket to a single game to sit between the 35s on the West Side 2nd deck, it makes no sense that a non-student should receive a guest ticket from a student at face-value prices. I love students and don't say these things in a hateful way, just noting what I think is logical to solve this problem.

How do you propose it's linked to market price? Use stubhub? Besides that makes no sense. The school only operates on face value. If in theory they had a ticket to sell in those areas it would be at that price. Also, a person on the west side can sell their ticket to a friend for face value. Hell they can give it away. Do they also have to adhere to market prices now? That's essentially what happens when I get a guest ticket. I buy it from a student, then buy the conversion. Then give (sell) it to the friend for what I paid. It's a good system.

I'm tired of olds whining about everything the students get. It's roughly what you got as a student. It's what is best for the university and best for the student body. If you don't like students buy nfl tickets and spare us your complaining about fairness... the game is more about students as it is you all

I find it funny that people loved those seats when they were students but now they want to move the students.

I'm donating extra money to TMF this fall so I can do my part to help students continue having their subsidized premium seats. Granted, my contribution is probably only worth a sports pass or two, but every little bit helps. Students should NEVER be moved, especially at the rate A&M is growing.

I don't understand why we don't have scanners at the gates to check valid IDs. Seems like they would pay for themselves in no time assuming fans respond by purchasing guest passes.

I also don't see a problem with guest passes being charged in excess of face value. Everyone knows that face value is only about half of what you pay for a seat as a former student. What's so difficult about stating that the addition charge is $100 for the Alabama game but only $10 for the SHSU game?
