T&P for you, the family all your friends. I was deployed when my Dad passed on.....

Guys, the response has been incredible.
I have received emails from Coach Sumlin's secretary, the chief of staff of the athletic department, President Loftin's office, softball coach Jo Evans, Dave Elmendorf, and, yes, Johnny Freakin' Football himself.
Jerrod Johnson texted my dad and Cody Wallace called my dad. Coach Jackie Sherrill (thanks to txjortsagent) even had his assistant reach out to me so that he could visit my dad! Moreover, the athletic department sent a care package to my parents including notes from President Loftin and Eric Hyman, along with some memorabila.
On top of all of that, I have received countless emails from Aggies all over expressing their encouragement for my dad (which I have passed along to him), as well as notes saying that they are praying for him and my family.
Ags, I can't tell you how much this means to me.
Your thoughts, prayers, and willingness to take the time to write me on behalf of my dad brings me to tears. My wife is pregnant with my dad's first grandchild, due in October. His bone marrow transplant should occur sometime in late July. Right now it is crucial for him to be strong in mind, spirit, and body to be able to handle the transplant procedure, which is why this stuff means SO much to me. Before all of this support, he was more depressed than I had ever seen him in my life, and it did not bode well at all for the transplant. As I said in my original post, we found that the one thing that got him motivated was being ready for the start of Aggie Football so that he could be at the games.
When it comes down to it, selfishly, I want my child to be able to meet her grandpa. Acts of kindness like these, might end up playing a really big role in accomplishing that. I have you all to thank for that.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
Gig 'em,
