How long do you want to ignore this user?
Below are the questions we've gotten the last few days. There are some duplicates or questions that are very similar. I know it's a lot of words, but it may be helpful. If you have other specific questions for us, please post them in this thread.

Q: If I have 2013 season tickets, and go thru the selection process, will one of my options be to just keep the tickets I currently have.
A: No. The stadium is being completely reconfigured and reseated. You may end up in the same area based on your level selection and seat selection but there are zero guarantees for anyone to retain their current seats.

Q: When do these seating options take place?
A: Seat selections will run during the spring of 2015.

Q: What about Faculty/Staff Seating?
A: If you're a current Faculty/Staff ticket holder, you'll get a direct message on June 11 with all your info.

Q: When will the ticket prices for 2015 be announced?
A: Ticket prices are usually set when the schedule is finalized. It will be a function of the qty of games on the schedule and the schedule itself, among other considerations.

Q: When does the annual contribution begin?
A: Due in 2015. Capital contribution starts in 2013 with a 5 year payout.

Q: Looks like there is no longer a recent grad section; a la what is currently on most of first deck east side, can you confirm?
A: McFerrin's is in limbo right now and that price point isn't planned to go back into the East 1st Deck. We're hopeful we can find a place for it and continue that. Just have to find a home for it.

Q: No pricing on south lower section yet. Student seats?
A: Students and visitors.

Q: My seats are currently on the East side, what happens to me in 2014?
A: 2014 info isn't finalized. We'll have something soon.

Q: My wife and I sit with my brother and his wife. We each own our pair of tickets. I am assuming we will have to plan/get lucky to sit next to each other come reseating time? Or will one be able to pick for all 4?
A: You'll be able to do a fill together. You just select the same level in August and then you'll submit a fill together before the seat selection in 2015. We'll schedule your appointments simultaneously.

Q: On the east side bench, the annual donation is 750; I take it that is per seat? Is that rate locked for the 10 year period and can then go up, or can it still go up annually?
A: Yes, it's per seat. If the annual in your area is less than $1500 per seat, it can be increased during the term. If the annual in your area is $1500 or more, the 12th Man Foundation reserves the right to increase the annual contribution required to retain the seats by no more than an average of 5% per year.

Q: When do we find out how many seats we can purchase?
A: During the initial seating option commitment phases that will take place in August of 2013, each donor account will be limited to no more than eight (8) Prime West Legacy Club and/or West Legacy Club seat options and will be limited to no more than twelve (12) seat options in any other individual level. Limits may be lifted when seating options become available to the general public on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Q: I'm a relatively new donor and don't have a lot of priority points logged yet. If I pay the annual contribution and campaign donation for a certain caliber of seating, will I run the risk of not being able to get tickets simply because of my priority point status? If so, would I have the option of accepting tickets in the next lower caliber of seating?
A: You will be able to select seats in the area you commit to. We are not overselling seating areas. If you commit to 4 seats in the ZU bench, you'll get 4 seats there.

Q: Does that mean no further Capital Contribution will be required for 15 years. But, a 2nd capital contribution MAY be required after the 15 year term is up?
A: Yes. There's no additional capital component for your seats during the term. There could be a capital component required after year 15.

Q: What happens if at some point I decide I no longer want the seats I selected? For instance, if life circumstances change and decide I no longer want to buy tickets at all? Does the 15 year term mean I am legally committed to paying for those seats for 15 years and would have to sell them in the secondary market to recoup my costs? Or can I notify the 12th Man and cancel my tickets without having to pay any future amounts?
A: You have the right to renew for the duration of the term. You're responsible for the full capital component but can decline to renew during your term. You're not obligated to buy the seats. Once you terminate your renewal, the seats will be resold.

Q: If you are on east side in 2013 and end up on west side for 2015, where do you sit in 2014?
A: We're working on a plan for the East side folks in 2014. Just a lot of unknowns right now. You will know in plenty of time.

Q: Does "10 years" mean that we are making a commitment to purchase for 10 years or that we have exclusive rights to those seats for 10 years? If we have exclusive rights are they transferable?
A: You have the right to renew for 10 years. Seats can be transferred to lineal ascendants and descendants (to your parents or children).

Q: If your company does gift matching, which price is eligible for that; annual contribution, campaign gift, or both?
A: It'll depend on your company's policies. We'll take matching money on both.

Q: Is the PSL amount per seat or per order?
A: It's per seat and it's a capital contribution not a PSL. PSL has a totally different meaning.

Q: If the per seat donation level is less than what you are paying now for that section will you actually be able to pay less or will you be expected to maintain your current level of giving?
A: You will pay the new rate.

Q: What is going on the south side lower level?
A: Students and visitors.

Q: How many total Loge Boxes?
A: Don't know at the moment.

Q: If we have the same pick order as other folks in our group and select the same seating section, will we have option of sitting together?
A: Yes, you can both make Campaign Gift commitments in the same seating level, and at the time of seat selection, you may choose to select your seats together. Your spot in the seat selection within your seating level will be determined by the lowest Priority Point ranking member of the group.

Q: Are we locked in for 15 years? Are donations required annually over that time? What if we a) want out OR b) want to upgrade/add seats?
A: You have the right to renew for the duration of your term. You can cancel and there will be a mechanism by which you can change locations during the term. That may involve an increase in your capital requirement (depending on where you moved).

Q: How can I get seats next to another donor? I assume we'd go by the lower of the priority points level but that's fine by me. I'd rather take seats that aren't quite as good as long as I can continue to sit next to my friends.
A: Yes, you can both make Campaign Gift commitments in the same seating level, and at the time of seat selection, you may choose to select your seats together. Your spot in the seat selection within your seating level will be determined by the lowest Priority Point ranking member of the group.

Q: Does the annual seat contribution take the place of our current donation to the 12th Man, or is that in addition to?
A: Takes the place of it. Your seats terminate so you'd start new.

Q: For the seating limits, do my endowed seats count towards the 12 tickets I can purchase? How many seats are in the Prime West Armchair/Field Box sections?
A: Yes, endowed seats count toward the account level limits by area. We don't have quantities by level yet.

Q: If we get tickets with other people, whose point total will determine the priority pick date, the lowest or the highest?
A: Lowest point total in your group.

Q: If I want seats in a section; how will the seat assignments be done, randomly or some other form of priority selection?
A: You'll select seats yourself based on your point total (or if you're in a group the lowest member).

Q: Is the campaign gift amount per seat or per donor (no matter the # of seats purchased)?
A: Per seat.

Q: Will the process be first come first serve, and then priority points will determine who gets which boxes/seats?
A: It's sort of a hybrid. Within each segment its first come, first served.

Q: Is this a good rule for everyone-The ticket price will be the same no matter if you're on 3rd deck in the zone or midfield on the west side?
A: Our model has been based on seat style (bench, armchair, and club).

Q: Is everyone in a given window treated as equals in selection or are you still grouping by priority points when it comes to selection order? For example, if one ticket was left in a section and someone with 999 priority points vs. someone with 20, I would assume the higher point total wins?
A: its first come, first served within the segment.

Q: We have 918 PP and have given just over $20K. So, we get to pick at the same time as someone who gives the minimum $250 before the August deadline? That does not seem fair that we may end up with worse seats than a brand new member, even if we are willing to pay however much the better seats cost.
A: True, but you're within striking distance of 1000 and could use what you give to get there as a credit for your capital obligation.

Q: Why isn't it based on the amount you donate, rather than per seat donation?
A: The most understandable line is the per seat contribution. It's uniform and is easier to understand and communicate. It also helps us plan for term end.

Q: If we are very close to the next higher option as far as priority point/when we can select tickets, it looks like we have until August 1 to add points?
A: Yes. Get it in on or before July 31 so it counts for August 1 calculation.

Q: With the selection process, does it do me any good to up my points from say 100 points to 120 points? Or would that just be wasting money at this point?
A: It's not a waste of time because you'd have those points for bowl games, SEC championships, etc. But it won't impact your situation for August in that particular scenario based on the segmentation process. If that process changes, then those 20 points may help you.

Q: For clarification on the ticket limit, is it 8 West Club Seats AND then 12 others for a total of 20 max? Or is it 12 TOTAL seats, with 8 being able to be Club?
A: Each donor account is limited to no more than eight (8) Prime West Legacy Club and/or West Legacy Club seat options. No account can carry more than 12 seats per level in any other level.
Q: Is there any ability to preview what you will be allocated and if you don't like the actual seats, drop down to a lesser point section?
A: You'll choose your own seats based on your point total as of January 15, 2015.

Q: What does a first time season ticket buyer have to do? What is the process? 1.) Already a 12th Man Member. 2.) When/where do we say, "I want 4 tickets in the south end-zone for 2015?"
A: On the day your segment opens you'll go to kylefield.com and choose your level & qty of seats. You'll pay 1/5 of what you owe for your capital at checkout. That's it.

Q: Is it $1 donation = 1 point? If I need, say 100 points do get to the next earlier session do I contribute $100?
A: No, it's 4 points per $100. $12,500 will get you 500 points.

Q: So you guys are using priority points to determine what "section/grouping" you can get access to, but then when it comes to actual choosing of the actual seats in said section, it's a free-for-all amongst those who chose that section?
A: No, seat selection will be determined by 1/15/15 point totals. Appointments for selection will be assigned in point order.

Q: Do Loge Boxes have access to the West Side Club?
A: No, loge boxes don't have club access. Each group of loge boxes will have a "club room" with what is being billed as a Reserve Bar.

Q: Why aren't first deck south end-zone seats available?
A: That area is being utilized for visitors and students.

Q: Assuming when I get to pick my section on August 15, the Kyle field options at that time will reflect the sold out sections that were taken by the10,000 & 6,000 point donors?
A: Correct, availability will be updated as we finish individual levels.

Q: What are the numbers of donors in the priority point groups?
A: It changes all the time as people give. Obviously the largest group is 0 - 1000.

Q: If you pay your entire capital contribution up front (rather than over 5 years), could you pay 20% less? Thus if the capital contribution for the seat you want is $1,000, you could either pay $800 now, or $200 over the next 5 years? Or is the only option the full amount over 5 years or less?
A: There's no discount for paying in full. However, you do get the benefit of the points.

Q: Will the August seat selection process allow me to choose the exact seats or a general area? For example I have bought aisle seats the last few years after looking online at specific seat openings. Meaning will I know the section, row, and seat #'s before I transact?
A: No. This is a seating level selection. NO SEATS WILL BE ASSIGNED UNTIL 2015.

Q: Do we know how this selection process is going to take place (once your grouping is up). Will we be able to go online (12thman), or call in, and how will we be notified that our time is at hand?
A: It'll be online via kylefield.com. Your time will be based on which segment you qualify for after August 1, 2013, point calculations.

Q: I am a current student graduating in August. Where do I start? I also know there was previously a "recent graduate section" per se. Is that still going to be the case, will there be a similar replacement to that system, or will I just start fresh with picking my seats at 0 priority points?
A: New grad program will be available to you. There's not a "new grad" area specifically. We do currently have McFerrin's but that's in limbo for 2015. If you're trying to get into seats in 2015, join before August 1 ($150) and activate your new grad membership so you can get the matching money from us. And you'll have the benefit of 2 consecutive years of giving bonuses before 2015 seating if you pay a donation in 2014, too. The other thing about joining is that you'll go in the 0 - 1000 segment rather than with the public.

Q: Is there any word about seats for people with disabilities? I know in the past there were certain sections that they would put you in - which is why my wife and I are up near the top in section 113 - no wheelchair, but she can't do much in the way of stairs.
A: Yes, but you don't really need to worry about it too much until 2015. We will finally be an accessible stadium so you can pick most anywhere except N/S Zone Upper and she won't have much climb involved. Those will involve the most stairs. We’d still be able to find you some accessible seats, but just be mindful that those will require a few steps. We'll be prepared to deal with accessible issues when seat selection begins.

Q: Can any or all of contributions given now thru July 31 also be counted toward the capital campaign requirement?
A: If you designate it as Capital for Kyle Field, yes. Make sure you tell us that's what it's for.

Q: Are the north armchairs listed as section 550 the current 400 level?
A: Yes.

Q: Will there be any area in the stadium without a line of sight to a video board to see replays?
A: I don't believe so. There may be some areas with funky angles that cause glare on the nearest one (similar to what happens in 301/339 now). But my understanding is that this has been accounted for in placement.

Q: The current members with less than 1000 points all get to put in requests beginning the same day? Then once they have been accepted, the order of selection is by PP total? So the person with 400 PP's will choose before the person with 100?
A: Yes, seat selection appointments will be sequenced by point total on 1/15/15. So if I have 599 and you have 600, you'll pick first.

Q: Can I specify more than one area on the 26th? I don't want to have my first preference gone by the time I select later, but still have an acceptable area available.
A: No, if a level sells out before you select your level in August, then that's it. There are X seats in a level and we will sell X seats. We won't sell Y seats and then reshuffle and boot the difference between X and Y.

Q: Something that hasn't really been asked in all of this is how it will affect the season ticket donations for the 2014 season. We are supposed to be donating all this money for 2015 tickets starting this year. What about our donation that will be due next year for our seats? Will we be having a double donation much like this year?
A: Donation rates for 2014 are under review. We're not currently planning to require some 1 off capital contribution during 2014 for your 2014 seats. I would plan for what you paid this year. It may be different but I expect that is a good number to work off of.

Q: So what will be the process once your day comes? Will we be able to go into the website and click on the section or row or seat that we want or that will be available to us or will there be someone making that choice for us and how much input will we have in the process.
A: In August you just commit to a donation level. In 2015 you'll pick your actual seats.

Q: Currently, it seems they raise the annual contribution about every other year, around 5%. With the new pricing structure, can we also expect annual contributions to increase by some amount every year/other year as well?
A: Yes. The annual rates can increase. It's under terms on the website. There's a difference in how much it can increase based on what your initial rate is.

Q: If three couples wanted to get a loge box; can the priority points be split three ways?
A: You can share it with whomever you like but only one of you would own it.

Q: I just graduated and immediately joined the 12th Man Foundation. If I want seats for 2015, how do I do that? Since season tickets are already sold out for 2013, how do I get on the list for 2014? Is there anything I can do now to get season tickets as soon as possible?
A: 2014 info will be out this fall. We'll be at 109K so that should get you into seats. Since you're a new grad, take advantage of the new grad program.

Q: You are signing up for a donation level; I guess seating area this summer for seats in 2015. Let’s say you have more money in two years, can you upgrade?
A: If there are seats available in more expensive areas, yes.

Q: How does parking play into all this? Will the club seats get better parking options or is it still based off points?
A: Parking is its own thing. Lots of parking changes with construction, so that's pending.

Q: My Son and I currently have 6 seats together. I own 4 and he owns 2. We would like to get 6 seats together in the West side club level. Since I have higher priority points I plan to purchase 6 seats for us. I would be the owner of the 6 seats. Is there a way for him to receive priority points for his two seats and for me to receive priority point for my 4 seats?
A: Transfer the pair to him after seat selection.

Q: In August when it is my time for selection, will the system show that certain levels have already been sold out from previous donor selections. In other words the system will update and not overbook a level.
A: Yes. Kylefield.com will update as levels sell out just like it did during suite sales.

Q: If I request 4 tickets in a seating section when my turn to pick comes up in August, and I get the 4 tickets, is it guaranteed that my 4 seats will be TOGETHER when I select seats in Jan 2015?
A: Not guaranteed a 4 spot, but you are guaranteed 4 in that level.

Q: Currently we have 10 tickets under one account with some in The Zone and some in Section 143 on the east side. My understanding is in August we can only reserve one area. Am I to assume then that all 10 of our tickets have to be reserved in the same single area, or will there be any mechanism to split them up?
A: You can get up to 12 in different levels (excluding the club restriction). So you can buy 6 in the armchair and 4 on East 1st.

Q: How do we reserve the two sections we want in August? My understanding is we have to choose a single area.
A: You'd select quantity at Level 1 and then select quantity at level 2. You just can’t exceed 12 per level (excluding the club restrictions).

Q: Once all of the seating level selections are completed in August will there be a way to find out where we rank (based on current priority points) within our seating level section selected.
A: Yes. It will be much like what we've done this year with new seat requests.

Q: What does ‘club restriction’ mean?
A: At this time, each donor account is limited to no more than eight (8) Prime West Legacy Club and/or West Legacy Club seat options, and is limited to no more than twelve (12) seat options in any other individual level. Limits may be lifted when seating options become available to the general public on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Q: Do the highest donors still have to wait until the general sale to buy more than 12 seats in non West Club/West Prime Club levels?
A: The limits apply at all point totals.

Q: Will THSCA members still be able to get their Coaches Tickets?
A: Yes, there will still be tickets.

Q: Will there be any interactive online selection tool?
A: Yes, it'll be a 3D seat selection tool in 2015.

Q: If I pick a level how will the ticket office distribute people across the level? In some sections, it is better to be higher up and in others, it is better to be lower. Is it random chance or done by priority points?
A: In 2015 you'll decide for yourself based on availability at your point total.

Q: Can someone else fund the donation directly to 12th man to be applied to my commitment for seats? I.e. they would get the tax write-off and potentially points although this is less critical than the tax treatment?
A: This is currently permitted but you need to arrange it with membership. Ticket holder of record must pay for the actual tickets, though.

Complete BS. I really don't understand the justification for this.

I don't understand the appointment process in 2015 (and maybe it hasn't worked out). We are going to be ranked and given individual times to go in and select seats in our area? This is going to be a one-by-one donor process within each section.

All donors will be ranked in their area of selection. Based on that ranking, we will be given a time to go select our seats in whatever tier we are in as an individual or will be we grouped within a certain range? Am I understanding or is this not really known yet?

A: Yes, it's per seat. If the annual in your area is less than $1500 per seat, it can be increased during the term. If the annual in your area is $1500 or more, the 12th Man Foundation reserves the right to increase the annual contribution required to retain the seats by no more than an average of 5% per year.

I suppose I missed this nugget. Interesting there is no % limit for lower tiered donations.

I also missed that one.

Also a good question about if you want 4 tickets together. Not a guarantee. Does the same apply for 2 or 3 tickets together? It depends on what is available when you select?

My biggest question, can I walk away on 1/15/2015 at no additional cost if I don't like the seats available? I would have paid 40% of the capital contribution and the TMF could resell those seats.

Also the 10 year or 15 year term is pretty meaningless since they can increase the annual donation amount, and by more than 5% if you are not in a $1500/seat level. We pretty much always were given first dibs on our seats if we made the then current donation per seat amount. The <1000 points selection needs to be divided up into at least 500 point increments, and 250 would be better.

The following q and a gives some hope for a more equitable process before 8/26.

Q: With the selection process, does it do me any good to up my points from say 100 points to 120 points? Or would that just be wasting money at this point?

The following is not good. We will not be guaranteed seats together on seat selection day.

Q: If I request 4 tickets in a seating section when my turn to pick comes up in August, and I get the 4 tickets, is it guaranteed that my 4 seats will be TOGETHER when I select seats in Jan 2015?
A: Not guaranteed a 4 spot, but you are guaranteed 4 in that level

Oh, and great job OP. Thank you.

Pro Ag, I believe you have to commit to the seats on 6/1/14. Don't know what commit means, but it usually means $$.

Let's say Joe Schmo agrees to buy 4 armchair seats and pays his 1/5 but decides to back out due to unfortunate circumstances. What happens to those seats and how can people in lower Point total groups "move up" to get them if they become open? How will we know they are open 6 months after the section selection process?

I appreciate it, but still have some disagreements about certain things.

quote:
Q: Is everyone in a given window treated as equals in selection or are you still grouping by priority points when it comes to selection order? For example, if one ticket was left in a section and someone with 999 priority points vs. someone with 20, I would assume the higher point total wins?

Q: We have 918 PP and have given just over $20K. So, we get to pick at the same time as someone who gives the minimum $250 before the August deadline? That does not seem fair that we may end up with worse seats than a brand new member, even if we are willing to pay however much the better seats cost.
A: True, but you're within striking distance of 1000 and could use what you give to get there as a credit for your capital obligation.

That's nice, but there are plenty of folks not nearly close enough to jump up a level, but that have still be giving for quite a while and this doesn't help them much.

quote:

So yeah, your PP will help you, unless enough first time donors beat you to the punch and you miss out on the section completely. In theory, as long as they were "faster on the draw" entire sections could be filled by first time donors, and those with PP would get to have "first pick" of seats in whatever their 2nd, 3rd or 4th section was (assuming they're not sold out).

Seems this whole thing comes down to "if you're over 1,000 PP, you're set - otherwise, it's the wild west" which seems crazy given how large a % of the donor base is below 1,000 PP.

I do appreciate the post, AggieTickets - not sure if you're the same person every time or a generic account, but I always liked the fact that you would show up on premium (when I was a member there) and address everyone's questions, even if you were taking a beating in the process.

Hope my disagreements don't come off as personal.

That would make the annual "Should I bring my 2 year old" question even better.

Someone else having to deal with your 6 year old could be a good thing. Just sayin'.

Hopefully my final thought on this subject.

Perhaps the 12th Man is being compassionate on us poors with the one day selection on 8/26 for <1000 points. If they broke it up into 250 point levels for instance, it could start a giving war among us poors that we can ill afford. Right now, if you have 500 points, it does very little to give more money because you could not reach 1000 in all probability by 8/1/13.

I am just going to chill now and hope ultimately for below the top row in the upper zone.

Q: If I request 4 tickets in a seating section when my turn to pick comes up in August, and I get the 4 tickets, is it guaranteed that my 4 seats will be TOGETHER when I select seats in Jan 2015?
A: Not guaranteed a 4 spot, but you are guaranteed 4 in that level.

it makes sense in that if you are way down on the list they cant be sure that X# of tickets will be available. They should, however, work with you at that point to find another section

To go on the 0-1000 day, do you have to have donated $250, or does the $150 annual donation to the 12th man foundation qualify you?

If everyone picks their own seats in 2015, it leaves open the possibility of movie theatre type crazy singles left only in the middle of rows. I assume there will be a method to prevent that, but in the end if you are one of the last people to pick your seats in your section, you're gonna have to take whats left just like the last person to buy tickets on a flight.

I suspect this would only be an issue for those selecting their seats near the end of all people in that section, because all that’s left may be pairs and singles. But that would suck. I wonder if they would let you move to a “cheaper” section in such a case, but how could they because the section you decide to move to would be “oversold” at that point?

Q: With the selection process, does it do me any good to up my points from say 100 points to 120 points? Or would that just be wasting money at this point?
A: It's not a waste of time because you'd have those points for bowl games, SEC championships, etc. But it won't impact your situation for August in that particular scenario based on the segmentation process. If that process changes, then those 20 points may help you.

So is there actually a chance that this process could change, or should we just accept that everyone from 0-1000 will be selecting sections on the 26th? What catalysts will cause the process to change? If it changes, when will we know if it's going to change?

There will be thousands and maybe ten thousand+ seats unsold at the end of this process.

Okay... I can't resist.

Will Adolf Hitler be allowed to keep his seats after the stadium renovations have been completed??? I believe he is currently sitting near the 30 yard line of the second deck and has 980 priority points.

I sure hope so. That guy scares the crap outta me.

Complete BS. I really don't understand the justification for this.

If you have concerns about it, please email tickets@12thmanfoundation.com and lay them out for us so we can forward to the decision makers. This process is under review. Use the subject Segment Feedback and include your donor number when you email. It'll help me get it to the right spot faster.

I would suggest those that email include concerns about overloading the new system for selection. If you are feeling mean, throw in the inability of providing updated priority points information on time (a much repeated process).

The 2015 selection process will involve an appointment for every donor who ordered tickets. During your appointment you will select all the seats you ordered, even if you ordered in multiple levels. The appointments will be sequenced in priority point order based on point totals on January 15, 2015.

We will use an online seat selection tool that will let you see field view from the sections, pan around the stadium, and really get a feel for the finished product.

-------------------------------------------
So, am an 'old Ag' like myself with 500 PP is going to be lumped in the same seat selection as brand new grads who just joined? That is incredibly unfair, and I don't have a spare $12,500 sitting around to up my PP to 1000. I think there should be an additional break-down of PP between 1000 and 0!!

I agree with SlygirlAg 100%.

I have 770 points and have been a season ticket holder for several years and will be picking the same day as the guy that just joined the 12th man last week.

The catalyst will be the 0 - 1000 PP bidding war. Just think about the additional funds that can be raised if you divide the group into 100 point divisions. You then target every one within 40 points of making the next level by saying that $1K more will bump you up...with $2K then you get the people at X20 PP into the mix.

How did the TMF not see this opportunity? You add the Rodbies (rolling in dough newbies) into the mix and even if only a small percentage take the bait (10% of 5K in the pool) then you could rake in close to another mill.

Yep, I am hundreds away from 1000, but if the point break was a 20-30 points away, then I'm definitely contemplating giving more.
