You have to remember with egomaniacs that this sort of thing never enters their mind. Dodds can't contemplate a place where the sports world, especially the media, would call him on this.

The two guys on "The Ticket" said the same thing this morning. Dodds has apparently made this statement in public but they did not give a source. From there they talked about whether a school could even decline a bowl bid without breaking a clause in their contract with their conference. Not mention the money they would be turning down. I am not sure if the sip alums would put up with that.

I don't know who they were. I do not normally listen to the Ticket. They did say they were filling in this morning. They had the show from 8 am until 10 am

Like others have said, if tu passes on the Cotton Bowl it will never be made public but kept behind closed doors. tu may be bitter and scared of playing us (my bro-in-law mentioned that too) but they're not stupid enough to do it publicly. I would imagine they would wait to see if it's obvious we are going and they are likely to be invited, at which point they will inform the Cotton Bowl committee not to ask.

For my part I'm itching to Beat the Hell Out'a tu in the Cotton Bowl and hoping my bro-in-law is wrong, which he may very well be. Time will tell.

However, if this turns out to be true you can say you heard it on TexAgs first.
