I saw that store in Fort Worth (Montgomery Plaza) ans was wondering "who opens a store in a bad location (far backside of plaza) to sell longhorn and TCU merchandise?"

#fail

And there was nobody in there.

Who are they going to puff their chests out at - TCU? Baylor?

DeLoss made a mistake running away, and it seems they need us more than we need them.

Also, the article said that Co-op president and CEO George Mitchell’s salary ($735,984) is more than four times that of the top executive of the University of Oregon’s Duck Store, also a non-profit university store.

Dude that runs a non-profit bookstore makes $700k? WTF?

Ah, the dirty little secret of a non-profit -- All non-profit means is that all your revenues needs to be spent and/or allocated each fiscal year. I've heard of people "having" to write themselves a six-figure check to ensure they are a "non-profit".

A year later it opened a store in Fort Worth. That store has been unprofitable, according The Daily Texan, and has had to start also selling Texas Christian University merchandise.

I would love to have an A&M one in Houston. Not much quality A&M gear in the other stores (Academy & Sports Authority). Stuff in the CS bookstores is much better.
