high ticket prices are whats causing low attendance. sure you have your occasional 2% which will jump on the wagon when we win, many Ags would be perfectly fine taking their entire family to games if the price of tickets were reasonable. at $100 a pop and the cost of hotels in the region many have no choice but to stay home and view it on their big screens.

People by giant TV's with HD and 3d effects in an attempt to simulate reality, ask any Aggie within 500 miles of college station if they would buy tix to LSwho, Bama, Florida and the likes of the SEC for say $50 and you would see caravans of aggies headed to college station. Many would see and SEC schedule well worth the travel understanding that the SMU's and SCST of the world will also venture into KYLE Field in an attempt for an upset. at least thats my O...

The stadium was full vs SCSU. Building the South Zone to go over 100K will be full for every game. The Kyle Field experience is way better than watching on HDTV and always will be. Go big. Aggies will pay big prices for tickets.

I do not understand why Ashley said high schools had far larger attendance than any Texas College. I would love to hear an explanation. Maybe the key is the aggregate attendance to HS games is greater than the aggregate attendance to college. I could understand that since there are far greater HS than Universities.

Where is this low attendance that you speak of? We haven't had a game attendance less than 86,000 in 2 years.

If you had a 110,000 seat stadium, it seems to me that you could guarantee the visiting team 20,000 tickets, which I'm sure Alabama and LSU would snap up. And you probably wouldn't have to charge so much per ticket, because you make it up with volume and concession $$$...

Something to keep in mind as well, seat sizes have shrunk dramatically over the years while butts and guts have expanded. Simply expanding bleachers seat sizes by a couple of.inches to allow for more comfort would have a positive affect of how full a non-sold out game would look (though it would have a negative effect on the bottom line for sold out games).

Build for 100,012 and design to expand to 112,012 in 10 years, no chairs ever around the track with sides closer to the field.

The bigger the better, but def need 100k+

This is a genius idea.

Interesting idea. If these seats are incorporated into the design, they need to be a set of old bench seats from the current Kyle student side numbering 1 through 12.
A bit of old Kyle in the updated Kyle.

Anyway we can get wooden benches in the student section? That way "off the wood" make sense again.

Not this Ag (who can afford it). I'm just not willing to spend $250-$300 for my wife and I to enjoy three hours of football. At least not very often.

Aggie football is only occasionally worth $50/hr per person.
