It was fun, but no better than any other place. Most don't seem to go to the game anyway. I agree it's all what you make of it. None of us are really tailgating these days anway if you think about it.

The Boulevard yesterday was pretty good... Although it was over 50% Maroon 1.5 hours before kickoff.

It would be interesting to see SMU v. (Conference Opponent) to compare, but based on what I saw yesterday, they won the tailgate. (We definitely won halftime and of course the scoreboard tells the rest.)

I think the OP was saying the set up at SMU with all tailgating on the tree lined boulevard was a better set up and I agree. They also get to pay for their spot all year. No fighting on Fridays for spots. Easy to find people as each tailgate is numbered. First ice carving I have ever seen at a tailgate was yesterday.All the Greeks were together and even polite as we walked through. Loved it!!!!

Hey guys, SMU band alum(2011) here. I'm glad you could make it and see some of the Boulevard. I think it's fun and different. I saw the Aggie band for the first time and it's a good show, very precise and good sound. The SMU band would be bigger but we literally practice in a space the size of my living room and the scholarship fund is about the same as it was in 1986. It's on the way up so maybe one day we have a band as big as the Aggies then we can fully compare them.

The conference game Blvds are just as fun, a lot of people show up, have a good time (still don't go to the game though).

The SMU tailgate/Boulevard was started by the current predsident of SMU---- former chancellor of Ole Miss, i.e., it's based off of The Grove.

The Boulevard was great and better than what I've seen from A&M, but I'm sure we'll step it up in the next few years. Pretty campus, terrible football team. I didn't enjoy the 1st Quarter.

Tailgating was awesome yesterday and yes half the people on the blvd we're Aggies.

SMU fan here. Thanks to all of you Aggies that came out Saturday. I know our Boulevard sport was full of them, and I think they all had a great time. And the in-stadium behavior and attitude was great. It's always nice to see a visiting team there to cheer on their team as opposed to just trying to antagonize the home fans.

As compared to the Tech fans or the OK State fans, give me the Aggies each and every time. Best of luck with the rest of the season, and we hope you enjoyed Saturday.
