Irrelevant bc Mack suspended two guys for a bowl game nearly 13 years ago. And here at tu, we are full of honor and integrity based solely on what team we're a fan of. We know exactly what is just and fair and we never have done anything that could be considered as immoral as suspending players for a game that the coach said that they would be suspended for.

BNS is normally fair-minded and a good contributor to the board.

However, he's (I'm assuming) way off on this (non)issue.

I think the thing that some people are missing is that Sumlin gave the guys a list of things to accomplish in order to not have to sit out the Home/Conference opener. They accomplished those items and will get to play in the Home/Conference opener as promised.

I think his decision shows the players that he does stand behind his word. If he tells them something that's the way it is.

It's not like these guys are Christine Michael and Ryan Swope and getting huge preferential treatment so the team can be considerably better.

Last post I'll make in this thread. Sumlin had players prepared to sit out a game against la tech. He had players prepared to start against la tech. He had those same two players suspended prepared to play against Florida. The way he handled this didn't change any of those things and to me, seems like the most logical choice.

If anything, as a player I'd be upset if he didn't play them against florida considering that game we expected to have them with us.

There are only so many SEC games in a kids career. Maybe their violation wasn't worthy of and SEC game supsension??? IMHO, and if their deed was minor, then supspension from the first SEC game in A&M history would be like jailing someone for jaywalking becasue the litter patrol was already full that day.

Why does Sumlin has to justify his decision to anyone but the team? It doesn't matter what he would have done there would be criticisim either way.

All you have to do is look at his track record and those that do will see he's chased some pretty good players off for not following the rules. Trolls are gonna hate no matter what and Coach Sumlin only owes consistency to the team. If you weren't there and don't know the facts then STFU!

Ohmm pleeeeease. It's the right decision. Thewe two had been in the plan for the LAT game but have been in the plan for the FL game. Am I to beleive that planning for FL has not been been in the works? NO! These two are to sit out the LAT game and that's that.

I saw Cessna's negative article on the decision. And and I also saw his "grades" two days ago. Goes like this: Qb D. OL B+, DL D and as I recall secondary D--something like that. If that's his opinion, so be it but I don't buy it.

Sidebar: If you've ever heard Cessna on Saturday radio, it's painful. He says "wow" about once a minute. A good way to mess up a point--not emphasize a point.
