So, this A&M team is the exact same A&M team that has been playing for us for the last 15 years, and this LA Tech team is the exact same team that has been playing for them for the last 15 years? Yeah, no. That means absolutely ****ing nothing. If you want to make a useful comparison, compare how many times we have beaten them to how many times they have beaten us, ever.

TOP is meaningless by itself. A team that is slow pace vs a team that is quick to score will probably have more TOP, but that does not mean they will win. TOP is overrated.

Now with that being said it CAN be a useful stat.

Look at LA Techs stats from last year, I know the teams are different, but we were better than them in every category except points allowed and passing yards allowed.

Sherman is the one coach in the world who could have lost that game. Fran would have murdered Arkie St, and Fran was awful.

Sure, La Tech is no Arkie St, but Sumlin is no Sherman, and by a far greater margin than the former comparison.

Aggies win big if we just bow up and run the ball. if we experiment, and try the bubble screens and dump offs. it will be closer. We won't have many 3 and outs if we run 3 times.

First game of the season with a new coaching staff and new systems on both sides of the ball, plus we play Florida the following week. Suffice it to say that I will be very disappointed if we DON'T experiment with a lot of things, and hopefully with a lot of different players.
