Yeah, the problem is that they made voting as simple as navigating to as specific URL. There's no posting or anything. REEEEALLY easy to jack up. I say we use their own script against them, and give 'em like a million votes. If they win, it's hilarious. However, I think they'll likely just be disqualified.
this is dumb....espn screwed this up big time by not requiring a more thorough registration system.
Nebraska and NC State are both over 10K votes now. It not even checking see if its a valid domain...I just entered kjsdfhkjahf@lkjzlkhfl.com and it accepted it.
Johnny Z, oh it's much worse than that. The voting mechanism is WAY to easy to duplicate, and since they're not using "post" requests or even verifying where these requests are coming from, they can't block anyone from hacking it.
If we didn't have an incompetent Marketing department, they would be paying students to sit all day in front a computer putting bull**** emails in the computer. Just voted ten times.
Who's to say they won't pull all the fake votes? Joe Internet won't be happy that his school lost if he finds out the ESPN honored auto-votes from a javascript. It's in ESPN's best interest to clean it up.
