I like the logo, but how does it say we're from Texas? The T could mean Tennessee or Turkey or Thailand just as easily...
Nice idea but some decisions are better left in the hands of paid professionals who hopefully know what they are doing.
I like the OP's version the best, but I also like all of oklacityag75 — and the thought of being "Texas Aggies" again. I do like the last logo that oklacityag75

I don't think a team named the Texas Aggies will have the T on it's logo mistaken for Tennessee

Put a 3"x5" Texas Flag on the back of the current helmet and everyone will (should) know what the T stands for.

T-star looks like pure crap. I'm glad the athletic department is finally figuring out what a marketing failure it has been. Byrne is no marketing genius.

Their new "O" had no market equity less than ten years ago. Now it's one of the coolest brands in CFB.
My point about it being vague is that the block aTm is very school-specific and exclusive. The horn logo isn't a symbol for UT...it's meant to be a symbol for TEXAS.
The T-Star has that same potential. Can't say the same for the block aTm.

T-Star doesn't have much potential because it doesn't do enough to represent Texas A&M to the general public.
That's the first job of a logo. It has to be self-explanatory. A "T and Star" does nothing to represent the A&M part of the brand.
