Props for taking ownership. First thing to know is AO is never going to be popular on TexAgs so don't sweat the negativity too much.

The shirt will probably sell fine, and I'm sure plenty of people will like it. My suggestion would have been to hash tag the slogan like so, #AggSwagg. I would've used a font like Klavika or Futura and made it in all caps like the Social Network ads

I think the problem was me aiming in the middle of "Aggie Tradition" and "Young Market".

It might have ended up in some weird no mans land.

That font is bleeding cowboy, and it can die in a fire. It is the new comic sans. haha

BeachBum that is awful, Bear is right about the font.

yeah Bear, with aggswagg (I'd recommend getting the recruits' approval first) should be to the young crowd...older crowd won't get it, so I wouldn't worry about trying to accomodate...

My old, crusty self however will not tough one with a 39 and 1/2 foot pole.

Good! I was worried I was already getting old at the age of 25.

Bear, please don't be like CCCreations and ignore 99% of the replies because they're negative. there is overwhelming agreement on both texags and facebook that this is a poorly designed shirt. me personally, i'm not a huge fan and won't buy it, but i couldn't do much better

So this whole swag thing was a neat banner for our recruits to rally under.

and I promise I listen when I'm designing shirts, but once it is printed there isn't much to do. If it doesn't sell it doesn't sell and it won't be reprinted.

The bottom line is, as a company you have to understand that everyone won't like everything you do.

I'd like to think AO is making big strides to reconnect with their customer base... but sometimes things miss. It isn't the end of the world.

i like those 2 shirts you posted. notice how the fonts are actually consistent and clean, and there's not rampant overuse of the bevel

Just throw a headshot of him (wearing his Rayban specs) on a marron shirt with SWAGG across the chest, or wherever, and call it good. I would buy that right now!!

It's also the principle of it. Matt Davis said he had his own design (not sure how that would work with the NCAA). But making money off another person's idea is just lame.

Sorry if I stepped on some toes. Aggieland Outfitters just had quite a few requests for a shirt that said that, so I designed one.

I think it's at least theft of intellectual property.

Don't get me started on the "Road Goes On Forever" bumper stickers or the "Kiss Me In The Dark" yell practice shirts. There's no way AO asked for REK's or Randy Rogers' permission to use their lyrics.

There. I said it. Seems like there's too much "Ed Hardy" and "Tapout" influences. I respect the fact that you listen to customers. While I don't like that shirt I do like those other two.
