I'm surprised there were only 5 posts in the first 1.5 hours for this thread. Especially considering some of the ridiculous thread topics that generate so many responses. But I guess that's why they call it the zoo.

Good job Looch. Looks like Sherman did a good job recruiting a respectable class and Sumlin and AgSwagg is holding that class together. Here's hoping Coach Sumlin can reel in some juco D-linemen for immediate help to bolster up our graduation losses.

Billy, I thought that the East Bernard kid was one of the top athletes in the state but did not see him on your list.

I am quickly getting more sick of seeing tcu than some of the others. And boy do we need some d-line.

At least based on this year, it doesn't look like the SEC has made many inroads into Texas. Hope it never happens.

7 OSU and 5 OU. Okie lite is on the rise. Hopefully going to the SEC will make the oklahoma schools second choice to us

Not a knock against Looch but more of a statement to the inexact science of analyzing/recruiting talent. Take a look back at the last four years (change the year in the url) and see how many "studs" just don't pan out... and not just at A&M.

Sherman really likes to see us control the LOS. That's why RT enjoyed luxurious time in the pocket and the Aggie QBs before him were always on the run.

Well we were only 52nd in pass efficiency.

Offensive line looked subpar against an avg OU defense and struggled to open holes for the RBs at times. Also couldn't get a push against K State in the 4th when we needed only 1 yard and we handed the ball to a WR. And couldn't get a push on 4th down in the 4th quarter against Arky.

I just hope we are able to get some good D-Linemen where we can really control the line on both sides of the ball.

There are a lot of TCU commits on that list. They are doing a hell of a job of recruiting in Fort Worth for that fickle fan base.

Problem is that we only got 1 of the top 19 DL. We need to reverse that trend if we're going to consistently compete in the SEC.

Cayleb Jones as 4th best WR in the State?

I've always thought looch's ranking was fair. Even with this being an A&M site he's never stretched to have an recruit bumped up a few spots just because he's going to A&M, but this year with how much Matt has been associated with the site, I'm wondering if he got some special treatment. And how future recruits would be.

By all accounts, he is a great QB and athlete. And he deserves the number 1 QB ranking
but I'm just a little weary especially after how just about every t.u. recruits gets an extra star

You are nuts if you don't think anyone who makes a list like this isn't going to inject some measure of personal bias into it. It's human. Nature. That said, looking at BL's rankings, I have no problem with Davis over Knight. You could make a pretty good argument either way. Same for Williams vs gray. Maybe it's not that one is even any better, but more

The only place I see a potential bias is Addison as top WR and jones as 4th best in state. Addison has played qb for most of the last 2 years and although he is electric with the ball in his hands, that's not the only thing he has to prove he can do. Route running, blocking, instincts.... All things he may elbe able to donat this level, but things that other guys ranked below him have proven. Personally, I would put him in The athlete category and call him #1 there.
