Everywhere we go to Mass it's "Dominus Vobiscum" to which we respond "Et cum Spiritu Tuo", thus avoiding the whole translation-by-hippies-in-the-seventies business altogether. The FSSP (the group very much in communion with Rome) just opened an apostolate in Houston near 290 and Hwy 6 with beautiful pre-Conciliar Masses. Using an activity center while the parish is being built.

For what it's worth, the new translation does a MUCH better job of translating the Latin. As someone who has studied Latin, the 1970 ICEL translations were just offensively abhorrent. To all of you Novus Ordo guys out there (which I'm sure is 95% of you), please know that you're getting something much theologically richer and liturgically exact than those of the past (dark) 40 years have gotten.

I was referring to the reference but clearly I was wrong.

If we hire Coach Petersen, I will convert to Catholicism, I'm already Episcopalian....basically a Catholic with an open bar at Communion............
