Would this perhaps persuade Petersen to come to A&M? Also, could be huge among the recruits.

Maroon Turf?

At least I won't have a small seizure every time the maroon field is shown on TV as opposed to the blue one. Maroon is more soothing. I wouldn't be completely opposed.
That'd be hot in September.
Anyway we could get the nerdery to update their field in Minecraft and send a copy over to Petersen as a mock up?
I'm still trying to get the nerdery to let me join their minecraft server to check it out.
That gimmick worked for BSU. We don't need gimmicks for recruits, we just need wins..
Just do it in camouflage. The Corps would be happy...
Obviously you didn't watch the FCS playoffs last year with games at Eastern Washington with the make your eyes bleed red field.

Maroon would be too bad, but we would be banned from wearing maroon on maroon unis as the other team couldn't see us then...
if we wore all maroon, the maroon field would be camouflage
Someone call the agronomy dept...those guys can do anything w/ grass
I think you are on to something. I wasn't really in favor of maroon turf. Colored turf is retarded. But if we had natural grass... that was maroon. I would be 100% in favor of that.

I feel dizzy and nauseas. I can't imagine trying to watch a game on a striped field.
Why not a solid white field with just a big, bright Maroon ATM logo in the middle of it?
That wouldn't look half bad, it would still be easy to pick up the players against it, AND you could tell your recruits it was SNOW (and say, "I hope you don't mind how cold and snowy it is in College Station for most of the year" :-)

Actually, I kinda like that New Haven field.
That's not bad at all.
The two differing shades of blue contrast well and break up the monotony of just a single color.
That's pretty easy to look at.
The Boise field, on the other hand, is ugly, garish-looking, and ridiculous.
(Given all the other gimmicky things they've done already, aren't you a little bit surprised that Oregon hasn't painted their field their school colors yet?).

Also, similar to our basketball court, we could have a giant State of Texas from 20 to 20. Would look pretty darn sweet.
I'd paint Kyle's turf maroon if it would get us Petersen. Heck, I'd paint my wife's turf maroon if it would get use Petersen.

If hoorhouses ever need to match the drapes, any of the above colors would go well on the floor.
Maroon Turf would be awesome. I think the recruits would like the move. Alot of big schools in Texas already have turf fields, it's what they would be used to at this point. Watching trey williams highlights from his last game, he made ridiculous cuts on the turf. You could see tons of pellets in the air.
I guess it doesn't matter that we were founded as an agricultural school and have one of the best natural grass fields around?
