This is literally the only positive thing I've had to say about the Athletic Department in the last few weeks.

I'm sure it happened a while ago, but I just now noticed it. When they redesigned the website, I guess they finally got on board with standardizing our logo. The T-star used to be all over the website, now it's nonexistent. This is a great marketing move.

Agree - I hate that thing. Most people outside of our school had no idea it was an A&M symbol.

I actually like it, but oh well.

I wonder if Texas State threatened legal action...

I thought it looked cool, only w/o the bevel though.

I like the T star, Old Sarge & Gig Em. Never understood why it's that big of deal.

I would like us to go back to 2-D logos. I like the t-star on the seal better than the modern one.

Normal tstar was so much better than everything else, everything bevel is over the top.

Either way hey need to pick one logo and go with it...

I imagine that the next time the basketball court gets redone (several years away), we'll have a block aTm at midcourt. Hopefully a smaller state outline, too.

The "A with overlaying M" logo (similar to NY) is our coolest logo.

We are the only school that come to mind nationally when someone says "A&M".

We could do a helluva lot better job marketing it, though.

Agree with marketing A&M. The giant t-star on the basketball court looks so outdated and bad. Simple font is much more in style for logos right now. How many bevels and crazy fonts do you see in the most recognized symbols?(coca cola, apple, college examples: Oregon "O", Tennessee "T" to name a few. Maybe it's because of a long day at work, but I can't picture any largely recognizable logos that are complex or beveled, etc.

We tried once...in practice. Didn't work.

The T Star isn't why the football team sucks, but it is/was a big marketing screwup. And it looks crappy.

Beveling sucks. There's a reason the Michigan "M" and Ohio State "O" aren't...but a standardized (though beveled) aTm is at least a step in the right direction.
