I have been watching Aggie football since my grandfather took me to my first game in 1977 when I was 8 yrs old.
So I’ve seen my fair share of Aggie heartbreaks.
I have 3 girls ages 11, 9, and 7. They all love going to Aggie games, but the 11 yr old really loves Aggie football. More so than your average 11 yr old girl.
It’s actually pretty awesome. Anyway, as soon as we lost to tu, I had that typical terrible feeling I always get after we get beat in a game that we should have won. But what made it worse this time was I looked over at my daughter and she had the most sad disappointed sad look I’ve seen on her. It was like a kick in the junk for me. It almost made me feel guilty for getting her into Aggie football. (Although I would never change that)
Seeing her sad like that, it was like I added her disappointment on top of mine, which felt twice as bad. I think I wanted us to win more for her than me. I hate seeing her get so sad after such big loss like that.
Just thought I’d share. Can anyone relate?
