Why do "we" have to root for anybody? If you, yourself, like a team root for them. But don't expect there to be a decision by everybody to root for one or the other. Me? I'll be six or seven Sam Adams beers into my mental fog by then either celebrating our OU win, or trying to forget the game, and won't give a flip.

SEC Brothers: How do we decide who to root for between LSU and Alabama? Man the more I read this the more freaking **** it sounds. So in love with both you just cannot decide, so you reach out to your loving SEC brothers wanting them to help you decide this Sophie's choice drama. Alabama or LSU? Thats all you had to type. I'll take Alabama.

Ponder these numbers for a moment:

LSU record in night games, away or neutral site (including bowl games)----30-1.

Bama record in Bryant-Denny----28-1.

The LSU record is for the last ten years, which of course includes Saban and Miles as the HC. The Bama record is since Saban became coach of Bama.

Home field advantage for Bama? Doesn't appear to bother LSU all that much.

Say what you want about 'Bama, but they at least did not back out of a 10 year long home-and-home series with us like LSU did after we were consistently beating them several years in a row. LSU wiggled their way out of that contract and has never compensated A&M for it.

RTR all the way. Their program, fans, game day atmosphere, etc. is tough to beat. Lsu is...well...Lsu. Bama rolls in this one.

In 1998 it went to 83,818 and in 2006 it went to 92,012. Even in Shula's last year coaching we put 92,000 in the stands.

Of course they have gained some bandwagon fans. All teams that start playing at the level we have lately gains some bandwagon fans (like the ex-UT Chattanooga fans), but our core fanbase is rock solid. And I honestly think that if we were in UT's shoes today, we could still put more people in the stands than you guys are currently doing.

I dunno, I've lived in N. TX for 28yrs and have only recently seen the Bama fans coming out of the closet. Course I used to see way more Vol fans back in the day.

In 2009 you guys averaged 99,220. While that isn't at capacity, it is pretty close.

While it can't be proved, I feel pretty confident that we could put close to 100,000 in our stands having a year like yours. And to make the claim that half our fanbase only started watching Bama 4 years ago is ludicrous.

Bamatab, I am sure 102K+ will be at B-D Stadium this Saturday. That's all that matters. Quit wasting your time debating with UT fans, they're just angry about how irrelevant they have become
