I was there, my fish year, for the yell practice. It was something special. The campus went crazy after listening (no many tv games in those days) to Ed Hargett win the game.

Well, the only response I have gotten is the one I posted above. If I didn't get a response from the yell leaders or Bill Byrne by this evening, I was going to just start making plans not involving them. I wanted the give them an opportunity to be involved first.

It would be easier to get them involved because the extra promotion and what not. Even if they don't get involved I feel like we need to go and show our support. We just might not be doing yells.

I'll go ahead and make the Facebook event now I guess.

ive received a response from austin walkers mother.....she forwarded him everything i sent her, which was this thread....

she's said his response to this was that he's "all over it."

i'll stay in contact with her as much as i can....ive asked for his cell # so i can get some direct info

i assume by open practice he means yell practice.

"Thanks for the heads up Austin. A student already made a facebook page with the info being Friday from 12:30 - 1:30 pm. Once you hear something back, let me know in case the info needs to be changed. Thanks and Gig'em!"
