I look at it one of 2 ways.
1.What the record was since you were born.
2. Or don't be claiming wins beyond what you can remember without looking it up on your phone. If you can't remember who wonwith a $1MM bet on the line in 1958. Then maybe don't claim that as a victory

I also care most about the record since I first got to A&M in '85, since I wasn't truly an Aggie yet and didn't get all bent over games.

While looking at the series record since the beginning of time, don't forget to note how many years in the early 20th century tu refused to play in College Station.

It's not arbitrary to start recording once scholarship limits began. Y'all need to look up what arbitrary means. It means without reasoning or purpose.
Statistically, you throw out data you know to be cooked data. Or you know that would skew the results. Like if I knew a class cheated on an exam, I wouldn't include that in my overall test average. It's dirty data.

Throwing out the games prior to scholarship limits to make a comparison makes sense.

Why? For the same reason we imposed scholarship limits to begin with. It gives one team an unfair advantage.

All you have to do to see this as factual is analysis the win percentage before and after this date. It's clear this was the case.
