My Aggie ring helped me get a job. Not wearing your college ring to an interview is stupid, unless you went to any other school besides A&M. Then don't worry about that garbage.

33 - The exact opposite of that is true if you are interviewing in an organization that employs lots of Aggies.

Since when? Aggies love to hire other Aggies. Hell, there are tons of companies that love to hire Aggies....not just Aggies.

You have their resume. You know what school they attended. Most Texans understand that Aggies love to wear their rings. Honestly, all things being equal, if it came down to two Aggies and they were dead even, I would hire the one that wore their ring over the one that didn't.

Hey, I've put on a few lbs. since college, now my ring won't fit. Will just any jewelry store re-size them?

Do NOT allow ANY jeweler touch your Aggie Ring, other than Balfour. It will void the warranty. I had mine resized by Balfour, although it took about 3 weeks, it is perfect/under warranty and costs a total of less than $60. Most of which was shipping and handling, shipping insurance.

Call the Twelfth Man they will tell you where to send it. It costs less than $20. It is Balfour who I sent it to.

AggieJK - no jewelry store I know will resize one, you have to send it back to Balfour. At least that is what I was told. Mine is being resized right now.

I interview people (before this mess), all the time. If you are an Aggie, wear your ring. If you are anything else, don't bother...

I got my first job in part due to my ring. I have gotten several contracts in part due to my ring. I doubt I missed any due to my ring.

If someone doesn't hire me because I have my "college ring" on means he/she doesn't know that its an Aggie Ring and I probably don't want to work for said company.....

Wearing an Aggie Ring is a privilege that you can not buy. I didn't realize that till I put mine on for the first time. No ninnie sitting across a desk is going to take that away from me.

WTF is this from? Would you have a problem if someone wore their West Point or Annapolis ring to a job interview? Hell, if I were giving a job interview, I wouldn't care if it was from any college. Most college rings aren't tacky, and don't detract from the 'interview' look.

As far as Aggie rings are concerned, they are a great source of pride among Ags. Wearing them to a job interview is not a no-no.

Congrats to all the Ags getting their rings today! I remember when I got mine, and it's definitely a big day in your college career!

you are obviously not an aggie. i was sitting in a plane on the way back from argentina a few years ago. i noticed the old man to the left of me was wearing an aggie ring. we got to talking, trading stories and such, and he pretty much *****ed me out for not wearing the ring. for certain reasons i won't get into, i don't wear watches or rings. but i would never go to an interview looking for a career without wearing it.

If I meet someone that says they are an Aggie and they aren't wearing their ring I immediately think they are a 2%er or they are lying. If an Aggie came in for a job interview and wasn't wearing their ring (without an excellent explanation), I would not hire them.

@33. I head up recruiting for a fortune 50 company and I have never heard that "piece" of advice. That is utterly ridiculous.
