WVU? Ugh. I'm surprised at that if it's true.

There's lots of bad fanbases across the country, but WVU is the worst. People are quick to say LSU, Wisconsin, Ohio State, etc., but that's only because they've never been to a game in Morgantown. More than that though, I'm not sure how much they add to the conference.

I'm skeptical but if the other two candidates are indeed WVU and Mizzou, then Mizzou is a much better choice.

Both are solid pickups for basketball to the conference.

I question WVU's football, they have done decent in the Big East but thats still Big East. If I had the guess the Missouri markets are more desirable.

Realistic (yes, REALISTIC) options:

WVU
Mizzou
maybe NC State

One isn't light years ahead of the other. WVU is in the east, so they get the nod over Mizzou for me. Plus, is there a more bland, average, not good not bad football school that you can think of than Mizzou? Yeah, they are good folks, and decent academically....but so what? WVU is more "interesting" to me.

Meh for WVU. I'd rather they take us and Mizzou, then wait for the inevitable reverberations to reach the ACC and take VTech and one of the North Carolina schools.

West Virginny is the way to go if you appreciate cheap crystal meth, hillbilly hate, and characters that appear just like they walked off the Deliverance movie set. I've seen some people up in those hills and hollers that just weren't right. I don't need to stand next to them @ a football game. And you want economic Depression? Large swaths of West Virginny make Gary Indiana and Detroit look prosperous.

But we'd get to play huggybear again in basketball.
