It could be completely unrelated business, and not an SEC prez's meeting.
If some of these 'sources' are to be believed, then the acceptance part is already a done deal and they're just clearing schedules and looking for the best time to make the announcement.

And even if that's not true, why meet in Atlanta to vote on it?
Why not just teleconference and get it over with in an hour or so, without burning all that time and fuel to go to Atlanta?

My best guess is that Slive already well knows how many votes he's got, and the 'unofficial vote' to accept A&M may have already taken place.
Any further 'meeting'--if there is one--could just be a dog-and-pony show for the press, and an attempt to stymie any potential legal action by all of the soreheads in the Big 12 who are upset that you guys are leaving.

I still say there is NO WAY ON EARTH Loftin would have pulled A&M out of the Big 12 (and no way Slive would have encouraged him to) unless they both knew FOR CERTAIN that A&M was in, no questions asked.
It would just make absolutely no sense, otherwise.

If there's gonna be a vote sometime today, I'd say it's only gonna be to confirm and rubberstamp what they already decided weeks and weeks ago.
