Holy sheet - I got dizzy after reading that post.
10th grade English teachers everywhere just died a little after that train wreck of a thought.

Just had an Aggie,with a class ring show up. we drank a couple of beers and rolled laughing at Shagy bevos comments. He actually saw what I was trying to do. He cannot make the BBQ,but we sat and talked. It was actually fun. He found a picture that he thought was hilarious and filled me in on the history of it. He did something with the computer to transfer the picture. i think it might actually show up on Saturday. to all of you making your snide comments. Lay it down. I flunked 7th grade,barely graduated highschool. My ACT score was a 28. My GT score was a 118 out of 130. I am sorry that I am not that smart with the english language/hell typing is hard for me. But dont rip one me and my poor english skills. What have you done?

Akita, I don't have to tell you, but don't let these ivy league dudes tell you how well they diagram sentences, and that yours would be impossible to do so (cause they would). The content is there and it's not that bad anyway. Keep 'em comin.

28 isn't a bad ACT score. The person writing this post scored a 28.

Dude served his country. That's all I need to know. Sure grammar mistakes can be funny but give the guy a break.

Sure, Akita's grammar may contain some mistakes, but give the guy a break. He has done more to show support for the Aggies than many Aggies I come across every day.

I haven't read all his threads, but after speaking with him on his porch the other night, I can tell you that he is a pretty decent guy.

I'm thankful for his service to our country, and sad to know he is just one of many young men that have brought the scars of war back home with them. He told me something like 230 soldiers were wounded in a 20 minute span in one battle he was in. Am I going to fact check him? No. Am I going to insult him on the internet? No.

But I will say that I wish many of the people I come across every day would be as devoted about things in their lives as he is to this. Perhaps the country wouldn't be facing the problems we are today.

I'm sure Akita would tell you that he would rather not have had the experiences that put him in the position he is today. I've got a cousin heading to Afghanistan at the end of next month less than 2 weeks after he gets married. Why don't you go do something productive in life instead of throwing someone under the bus that you haven't met? I'm sure a local Aggie club in your town would love to have another volunteer.

Finally, if I were having a party, I know Akita would be above the cut off line on the invitation list, while your name (Aggie engineering degree and all) wouldn't.

I made a 34 on the ACT.

Yeah Rowdy. I am kinda of a different person. I barely passed highschool. But I test high. When that ACT score came in,the counsler was SHOCKED. She thought maybe someone had taken it for me. Have a good one. And another Aggie has impressed me with a phone call to apologize for his comments towards me. That is a man.

so this is really real and happening? i've seen a bunch of threads and can't make heads or tails of it except that akita took down his fence and put it back up again, and he used to be in the armed forces. is there really a bbq and how do i show up?

Howdy Ags,

Well, we will have BBQ, grammar permitting, and we don't burn up from the heat. Just got back with two briskets and 6 lbs of Slovacek links...gotta have a little bit of home stuff.

I'll put the brisket's on for 18 hours tomorrow at my place. Damp the fire out. Transport the smoker over to Akita's on Sat am early and get fire started back up so the briskets and links are smokin by 8 am. Both should be ready by 1:00 pm depending on fire and smoke.

Akita and I have no clue if anyone or a bunch of Ags will show up. Tough to get a count at this stage...but at least we should have some adequate brisket and links and celebrate knocking down the Big 12-2's fence.
