tu is refusing to land their plane unless they are granted rights to broadcast the meeting on LHN and are given 50% of future revenue from the airport runway they land on since their historic touching of the property will increase the intrinsic value.
South Carolina's King Air filed to depart Hartsfield back to Columbia Owens at 1:30 p.m. EDT, just delayed departure until 2:00 p.m. Meeting must be taking longer than they thought.
Only question I had was why did USC's plane do a touch and go in Greenville? Possibly to pick up someone from Clemson?
OP, the donor in question is a texan, but an SEC supporter, which is why I was asking. (some SEC schools use corporate donors when trying mask movement).
Txag70 - they must have a good reason... Weather here in SC is supposes to be rough later today. Not sure about upstate, but it will be here on the coast anyway.
Fife, it's overcast in Columbia now, rain expected this afternoon, but the USC plane isn't apparently going back to Greenville, coming straight to Owens.
President Pastides is scheduled to speak at the new student convocation at 4:00 p.m. I'll be there, too, and I'll try to get something from him backstage.

Hmmm, could it be Bob McNair owner of the Houston Texans? I think he is a Gamecock grad, and has an Aggie as his head coach.

I believe they have better fuel economy and can takeoff/land on shorter runways. Not as fast as the jets and not as suited for long distances. Great for puddle jumping.
