One of the articles I read back when all the realignment junk was blowing said that LSU was A&M's biggest advocate within the SEC, with Arky a close second....

In June 2010 the vote was 11-1 to let A&M join the SEC. Vanderbilt cast the only "NO" vote.

Not surprising at all. LSU wants more exposure in TX and the same recruiting advantages that OU gains from playing TX schools. College Station is also a relatively short road trip on away games.
