This is funny. I think a lot of y'all are talking about that long rant about how much A&M sucks that is passed around on e-mail. That wasn't Rome. That was some t-sip that wrote it and just put Rome's name on the top of it, and everyone bought it.

I got another little clue for you guys. Those e-mails that claim to be from Bill Gates that say you get $10 if you forward it to everyone you know? It turns out Bill Gates didn't write that.

The one about the little boy in the hospital whose dying wish is to start a big e-mail chain? Also a lie. No one sits on their deathbed and thinks, "I want my legacy to be junk e-mail."

Anywho, I wouldn't believe just everything I see in e-mail. Don't get me wrong, Rome is a jerk, but not for anything that he has really said about Texas A&M. The fact that he is such a jerk is what gave that hoax such legs.

All I have heard Rome talk about the last 2 days is his tour stop Saturday in Madison. He is too busy hyping it up and talking smack with his Clones.

Rome is all about controversy and himself, he can be entertaining though and like it or not he is one of the most powerful voices in sports media. I am a little surprised he hasn't brought up anything about Fran though.

Rome takes much getting used to, but is addicting. He can be absolutely hilarious. Something tells me I should be glad I haven't heard any of his takes on our Aggies.

Rome also made Kentucky Fried Chicken change it's name to KFC because of the "whack" chicken.

I agree with rbtexan and Lubbag. I am a fan, but Rome's ENTIRE schtick is to get in the middle of situations and stir things up. Will badmouth a player, then give him "props" when he comes on the show. Everyone see Any Given Sunday? John McGinley's character TOTALLY nailed him. Funny that Rome didn't have anything to ever say about that.

Yeah, the email was a fake. And I've actually heard Rome give us "props" at times, but for the most part, he doesn't even consider A&M worthy of speaking of, which might be a good thing...

Rome and his "clowns" remind me of the time when I lived in southern california (during the 80's) and how all those loser surfers would talk "dude" or "bro"!!!

It is freaking annoying.......grow the f***k up people!! Especially the once in Southern Cal that are in their 30's but act as if they were still in their teens......wearing their surfer gear (Town & Country, Side Out, Stuzzy, Gotcha, Quicksilver, etc.......)and talking like this moron does!!
