I bet the USC defender that got lit up after he tried to return a fumble wished someone had blocked Andrew Luck (the Stanford QB) this past weekend. It was a beautiful hit by Luck to prevent the return for an easy 6 by USC DB.

he also got screwed for the "late hit" call on 4th down for Nebraska on their game winning drive in '09. You could clearly see him loaded up and launching in the replay before the Neb QB (I think Sherm's now son in law) releases the ball. How can you stop momentum like that in mid air refs?

I can't believe anyone would try to claim that his hit on Colt was legal. Maybe he didn't have to be kicked out, doesn't belong in jail, doesn't mean he's a bad guy, but it was very obviously illegal.

I cant believe you can't see that it wasn't even a hit. It was pushdown block with his hands right after an INT. It was totally legal and good play.

True, it was a pushdown block that did not warrant an ejection, and Colt should have been flagged for an equipment violation.

Colt should have been penalized? The late hit at the 1:25 mark of the video. There is no way you can make the claim you just did if you watch the video and are at all rational.

Again, doesn't mean Heard is a bad guy. But please don't claim that Colt should have been flagged and not Heard.

Dodge intercepted the pass and as he was going down Heard shoved Colt. It was within a fraction of a second either way and wasn't much of a hit in the first place. Golden boy went down like Kimbo Slice against an actual fighter and that's all the refs saw. Maybe he should have kept his head in the game instead of throwing a hissy fit while the ball was still in play.

JTaylor, yes, he was taking off his chinstrap while the play was still going on! That view is the best yet to show the Heard block was a millisecond after Dodge went down, so thanks for that.

That video should be used as a training tool for all QBs - if you throw an interception, don't start trotting to the sideline and unbuckling your chin strap while the guy who intercepted your pass is still running with the ball.

You may be blocked or even shoved gently to the ground.

SIAP, and I'm sure all the diehard Buffalo Bills fans on here know this, but Kellen Heard was just claimed off the Raiders practice squad by the Bills this past week.

He might get a few games in, and I'm not sure if he and Colt talked before last week's Browns Bills game.

Texas had their chance to play for a national title, conference title and basically the Heisman trophy taken and given to their biggest rival - a team they beat by ten on a neutral field.

An umpire didn't get a call right in an unbelievable quick bang-bang play (in which he was bizarrely blocked out by an Aggie ballplayer) in a regular season baseball game, which wasn't over and with five conference games left for the Aggies and all of the post-season. You're right - there is a huge difference.

I think Aggie fans have lost their right to ever point out Texas fans as whiners again.
